I went to Exeter to visit friends two weeks ago and stayed at The Edwardian for 3 nights. It's very close to the city centre. I've enjoyed their hospitality and warmth. Very good breakfast. The place is currently undergoing remodeling. So hopefully, next time when I stay there again, it would look nicer.

Despite mentioning when booking that we were attending our daughter's early morning graduation, the Edwardian was unable to provide us with any breakfast early enough for us to attend the ceremony. We didn't necessarily expect a full English at 7.30 am, but surely milk and fruit juice could have been put in a mini fridge overnight? The owner commented that... More

I had read previous reviews so was a bit concerned, and yes the hotel is under refurbishment and the website looks different, but Mike was so welcoming that I was completely won over. The room was dated but clean and has everything you need for a weekend away. My only negative point would be that the curtains were very thin... More

I've just read the previous review, and am quiet annoyed! My partner and I have just had a great weekend at the Edwardian, we were warmly welcomed by Jackie and shown where to park. Our room was at the very top of the house and not too large, but adequate. Mike commented this morning that we didn't have the best... More

The pictures online are completely misleading. The place was a construction zone complete with dust and banging hammers. Our room wasn't ready in the late afternoon so we sat and waited a long time in the cramped dining area since there was no sitting are to relax in. I think we were put in the time-out room because the room... More

My daughter & I checked into The Edwardian today. Construction is well under way, as we were greeted by tools, noise & dust. Our room, with a private view of the trash cans, was so tiny we couldn't move. There was 1 chair, but no room to sit in it. There is a dining room, but no seating anywhere else... More

I stayed for two nights and it was brilliant. A little refurb is going on but it did not impact whatsoever on my stay. Perfectly situated for the town and in my case the hospital. Room was very nice and the breakfast was cooked perfectly. Mark Hunt Leicester

Stayed with my son for a Uni open day at the weekend. St Luke's campus is a 5 minute walk. The city centre is 10 minutes away, the motorway is 5 minutes drive. The owners are genuine, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good with a wide selection and full english whichever way you want it. Thank you

I arrived at the hotel and could not see where the parking was. I drive around the corner and tried phoning the number on the website. I got an answer machine so parked and walked to hotel by foot. The directions to the car parking on the web site stated you turned right in front of the hotel into a... More

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a weekend away in Exeter. Our room had everything we needed including tea, coffee and a comfy bed. The décor is dated as others have said. It isn't to our taste but it matches the property and you cannot suite everyone's personal tastes. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked although it was... More
