Lovely place to stay, gave us the freedom to come and go as we pleased ... Spotlessly clean and great to have a fridge in the room.... Parking just around the corner was ideal ... Very pleasant hosts ... Maybe a tv a little bigger but we were out a lot so not a big problem .. We had a...

Can't fault anything about our stay. Perfect location, perfect equipped room, really powerful hot shower, well heated, very comfortable bed and bedding. Turned the fridge off at night due to it being noisy, but no problem doing that. Lovely little touches that made us feel welcome. Thank you for our prosecco :) My only thing is I think you should...

We booked a Friday & Saturday night stay in a triple room at the Captain's House, as we were coming to Dartmouth to attend a Britannia Royal Naval College Ball. The location was perfect - 5 minutes to the college, and 5/10 minutes down to the centre of town, but set on a fairly quiet street (could hear some people...

We spent the weekend of the 10th and 11th of December at the Captains House and stayed in the room on the first floor at the front of the house overlooking the street. The whole process of booking a room, reserving a parking space, taking up residence, and paying at the end of our tenure was just so quietly efficient....

This is a lovely room only accommodation. Perfectly situated, with a reserved parking space around the corner. Room spotless, bed huge, and there was a bath with a shower over. We would recommend this to anyone, and would definitely return.

We spent three nights at The Captains House recently and would certainly recommend this place. The rooms were light and airy, spotless, and the beds were very comfy. Perfect location for the harbour, shops and restaurants. My only negative comment for our room was that it didn't have a full length mirror, just a small point though, in an otherwise...

Just had a long weekend staying at this beautiful Georgian house . Just a stones throw from the centre of Dartmouth and with car parking facilities provided nearby for duration of stay - perfect base. The accommodation based on simply b only suited our needs. The Bedroom was immaculately clean , homely and decorated in a relaxed palette of neutral...

We spent two nights at the Captain's House and found the stay very comfortable. The previous reviews have accurately captured most of the key points about cleanliness, location and facilities all of which are excellent. The reserved parking space nearby is a huge bonus for such a central location in Dartmouth. The winding stairs might prove difficult for the elderly...

The Captain's house is in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the centre of Dartmouth and the sea. The room has to be one of cleanest I have ever stayed in and would not look out of place in a 5 star hotel.

Just back from 2 nights at The Captains House. Lovely guest house with clean rooms decorated to a high standard. Good central location one street back from the Marina. Lots of places close by for breakfast and a great base for exploring. Stair case was difficult to manage with young Children, however I wouldn't hesitate to return.
