Not great, people running it were nice enough, but room seemed dirty. Carpets looked like they hadn't been hoovered and just looked generally dirty, orange grouting in bathroom and we weren't sure if the toilet had been cleaned properly. Bedding was clean and the view across the harbour was nice. Light bulb in the room and bathroom were blown. It... More

the only good thing about the"pub" is the position of it near to the river and town. carpets very stained, woodwork ,paint and décor marked and dirty. bathroom radiator rusty, and peeling. everything worn and grubby. the only good thing was the comfortable bed. the breakfast was o k.

As anyone knows most first impressions are important and my first impression was how nice it would be if someone could be bothered to sweep up the cigarette ends, most of which are now firmly embedded in the pavement and which litter the entrance. After then querying why the reality of our rooms and bathrooms were most definitely not in... More

This summer I walked the entire South West Coast Path to raise money for FORCE and Over and Above, two South West charities that support cancer patients and their families. Kevin at the Ship in Dock Inn very kindly agreed to be my Accommodation Partner and Gold Sponsor in Dartmouth. The pub is in a good location next to the... More

Visited a few evenings whilst in Dartmouth working...great bar staff and atmosphere... can highly recommend the "juicy lucy" burger...was divine. All the other food looked and smelt delicious too...my friend had a pizza which didn't disappoint either

The Hotel seemed a little shabby on arrival, however was pleasantly surprised by the room itself which was comfy, well decorated with a spacious en-suite (the shower was awesome). Breakfast was cooked to order and was well cooked and substantial. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Friendliest pub in Dartmouth.Saskia and Lee so welcoming and friendly. I was under the impression they were the proprieters-transpired just down to dedication and a willingness for this small pub/inn to succeed.Tables outside perfect for catching the early evening sun washed down with a perfectly chilled pint of Birra Moretti or a bottle or two of prosecco( yes Saskia a... Great food, very welcoming lady (Aussie) running the bar. Food very tasty, very hot but beware of the huge portions. Beer also in good condition and tasty. Give the nachos starter a go but share it!!! We will be back again, good value and tasty

We've recently stayed here. The outside is looking very tired now and the inside is the same. Scuff marks every where on the walls. Our room number 3 has scuffed walls, stained carpet a bulb gone in the bedroom and two bulbs missing leaving holes in the bathroom. The bed is large and comfortable and the furniture goes well with... More

Dear hannah Thanks for your comments, and agree the outside of the building is in need of paiting - we will be redecorating the whole exterior in September. We had hoped to do so this spring, but the building does not belong to us and we were awaiting a grant from the landlord that has been confirmed too late to... More
