Deceptive online images do not reveal severity of access to this property, and no mention or warning is given on any of the online booking sites to advise clients of all the obstacles, ranging from having to be on foot to how luggage 'may be' handled. So please note, fitness is essential to access this Inn. Nowhere does it flag... More

Visited the New Inn and while I managed to order food which was ok. While eating my lunch I noticed 8 Couples being told that they stop doing food at 2pm during the day. The look on the visitors faces was a a picture. The KP delivered my meal! Didn't see any servers.

Rooms over a pub tned to be plain, so you can never expect too much, but in this charming tiny town, the Inn is not a place you want to linger. The room was not terrible, but the smoke and the noise and the food smells from outisde just under the room were unpleasant. However, shortly after nine, the noise... More

We wanted to stay overnight in Clovelly, and picked this place as the alternative was excessively expensive. Still, the 123 GBP we paid for the night was overpriced. Rooms are small, though they have the atmosphere you expect in such a place. Breakfast was good, not outstanding, but just right. Staff is friendly. The main problem is that to get... More

Nice pint of Tetley's and great cider - we had the meal deal of the board, buy one get one half price. My hubby had faggots and chips and I had a veg chilli and we had extra chips. There was loads, it came in a large pasta bowl each- just what we needed after walking back up that cobble... More

Visited Clovelly with family and due to the limited amenities and options for food we opted for the New Inn for something to eat. Appreciating the fact this charming little village is old, the pub has been opened up as much as possible to let natural light in and is quite 'cosy' but with a beer garden offered enough space... Clovelly is a very unique and interesting place. We parked at the top and walked down to the new inn. Not a difficult walk even in thongs and the rain. The pub was very small but friendly. Rooms very nice- had a fantastic view of the sea and very clean. Definitely recommend a visit to this little town!

Stopped in here for a drink Down Along the 175 steps in this wonderfully preserved piece of history. They serve food and drinks and have rooms to stay, this has been here forever and is a lovely higgledipiggledy building showing us a true picture of of past. I would recommend this place

We recently stayed at the hotel on a Saturday night. Staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was exceptionally comfortable. Rooms are in excellent condition, spacious ensuite. Breakfast could not have been better - the lady running the dining room as super - nothing was too much trouble and the food was very good. Great hotel and lovely stay

Had a wonderful day today with my wife and Mother. Had a fantastic time and heard some amazing stories about the people in history from the village and the famous people that have descended from some a wonderful place. View are second to none and I can't imagine why people would go abroad to see sights. Ensure you get there... More
