A nice place to get food and drinks when you make it down to the harbour. The service is friendly with a good choice of food and drinks with wonderful views. Can't comment on the rooms as we were non residents. Can get very busy in the summer months when there may be a wait for food due to its... More

We stayed at the hotel when meeting up with family from Bucks Cross nearby! With warm and friendly staff on arrival and a beautiful room overlooking the harbour and bay, we could not have wished for better! Although the Weather was not kind during our visit, a walk up the cobbled streets to the village was a real treat, the... More

Such a rare pleasure to find a hotel where every member of staff was friendly and approachable. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate in the Hotel Restaurant and the quality of the meal was first rate - better than a lot of more expensive eateries that we have dined in. A nice touch was... More

Lovely hotel. Shame the superior room we had booked was "given" away to proprietors friends on the day we arrived, without prior notice. Reception had the uncomfortable task of sorting out the problem. Food in restaurant was beautiful but experience was marred by insufficient staff - dinner, 32 plus diners and two waitresses. Breakfast, again staffing levels let it down... More

Visited Clovelly for the first time and what a lovely surprise to visit such a quaint place and to be able to have a good pub at the bottom was a bonus, Good selection of beers and wines which were served by friendly staff who gave a good service and made you feel welcome.

Visited here last week with my Sister and Mom. Had a lovely walk down the cobbled steps, and we were very excited to get the bottom for some grub. The pub was awfully busy and the bar staff who was serving, although under pressure, was incredibly rude to a man who was waiting for a drink in front of us.... More

Superlatives are so insufficient, to describe this amazing, quaint hotel, scenically positioned upon the secluded harbour, of Britains most unique, picturesque village. Toured Devon & Cornwall, for a fortnight, staying in many locations, but so pleased, that we left this amazing tranquil place until last. From the moment of arrival, the sheer beauty of this location blew me away. Our... More

The hotel is situated in a very interesting position at the bottom of the village right on the small harbour, offering a fantastic outlook. The original building is very much of the original period, which is great and adds to the overall experience. We only stayed for one night, and with no disrespect to the hotel I would guess most...
