Booked through Cottages.com. Moorhead is in a great location - complete quiet and wonderful views. The roads to get to Moorhead from the A39 are typical country roads and I recommend using the instructions supplied to get there - via Hunts Cross. Accommodation was clean and tidy, however, could do with some modernisation. Example was that our dining table and... More

We stayed in Lavender cottage for two weeks. The weather wasn't brilliant so the amenities were very good, the pool, hot tub, darts and table tennis all went down well. The restaurant had homely food and Sunday dinner was excellent value and delicious. The bar was comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere, prices were very reasonable too. The cottage itself was... My husband and myself went to the farm In May. It is in such a quiet, relaxing location. Although in need of some modernisation, the cottage was immaculate. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. The owners and waitress couldn't do enough for us. Very pleasant and helpful. Lots of facilities, including swimming pool, hot tub,... More

Just returned from a brilliant week at Moorhead Farm. We were a family of 6 (Grandparents, Parents and 2 kids aged 5 and 1), we stayed in Honeysuckle and there was plenty of room for us all, with two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a large front room/dining room area, we also made the most of the... Great place to stay - as a couple we were in one of the flats (Bullfinch). The flat was lovely and clean, with a comfy reclining settee! On site there were several things to do from fishing (husband caught some good size carp) to games (pitch and putt, snooker etc) and the swimming pool plus hot-tub! Evening meals are to... More

Absolutely loved our stay in Lavender Cottage. We all felt instantly relaxed when we arrived and definitely didn't want to leave, in fact on day 2 of our weeks holiday I was looking to rebook for next year. Great facilities which were fantastic to keep kids amused as I unfortunately spent the entire week with a streaming cold so I... More

Unexpectedly need to stay in the area for a few weeks as my daughter was being discharged from hospital. I contacted the farm directly and arranged our accommodation. Karen was very friendly and flexible as we didn't know exactly when and how long we needed the apartment. The complex ( made up of 17 self- catering properties) is quite remote... More

My partner and I stayed at Moorehead Farm a few weeks ago, we have to say this is very well run by the owners Karen & Steve who go out of their way to acomodate your needs. The facilities outdoor and indoor are great, most of the time we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves and don't get... More

All the positive comments in earlier reviews are correct. This is a well run, comfortable holiday venue, with a range of indoor an outdoor facilities. The on-site retauarnt is a delight, with a charming waitress and some well-cooked favourites on the menu. The portions are generous! If you're into self catering, there's a supermarket in the village, and a chip shop... More
