Peter and Julie are incredibly gracious hosts. The view from the back is spectacular--garden, sea, church. If you like porridge, they ask you let them know the night before--it's a bit like crėme brûlée. They were helpful navigating to local sites, as well. Comfortable, well-appointed room. They even provided gluten free biscuits for our arrival as well as GF options...

Top quality. We received a friendly welcome, whilst the accommodation is both spacious and impeccably maintained. Loved the dining room, where breakfast is served. A great example of what a good B and B should aspire to.

I cannot praise the Avalon enough. The room, food, staff and location is first class. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. The room was spotless, and there was a large selection of teas, and coffees to suit all tastes. There was also a selection of toiletries just in case you have forgot something. The...

Peter and Julie's great welcome set the scene for a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, well decorated and immaculate overall and topped off with the most amazing views of Tintagel Island. The only slight negative was the size of the bathroom, which was tiny but perfectly formed! The breakfasts are fantastic both in quality and variety and the situation...

Amazingly well run B&B The owners know your name when they greet you and make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive. The place is spotless and feels spacious and uncluttered, though it's not very big. Comfortable bedding and linen. Very small shower room and water pressure was a problem. Wide selection of teabags coffee with different cookies, brownies...

My wife and I stayed at The Avalon for 2 days and seriously considered postponing the next leg of our trip and forfeiting $200 in train tickets to stay another day--our stay was that perfect. There were only two other guests in the house with us so we felt like we had the place to ourselves, which was nice, but...
