We have been coming to visit Tintagel for many years and we can recommend The Cornishman. The menu has plenty of choice, once ordered the sevice was quick and served by friendly staff. I chose the steak which was the best steak that I have tasted for a long time. The rest of our party were more than pleased with...

Stayed in Tintagel at a local cottage, a short walk from the Cornishman Inn and visited here on several occasions through out our holiday. We found the staff very welcoming and very friendly and they excepted dogs, which was good for us, as we had our Golden Retriever with us for the week. The food was absolutely delicious and the...

My wife and I took a short break in Tintagel and choose the Cornishman Inn in which to stay. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly barman who confirmed our details then immediately showed us to our room. The room was in an accommodation block which was an extension of the Inn. The room itself was a good...

We were visitng Cornwall for the weekend and decided to pop in to this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing - you could say it was fresh and prepared to perfection. Never experienced anything so tasty before. The service that we received was superb. We said Thank You, but we just wanted to let you know that they made us...

Delicious lamb shank, steak ok but what made it for our stay was friendliness of the chef/ bar staff and other customers. Enjoyed sitting by the log fire on a winters night with a mulled wine. Missed Sunday lunch but was pleased when free roast potatoes were brought out which were fantastic after a ciders. Did not see the cat.

Pros: Immaculately spotless rooms, cosy pub atmosphere downstairs, friendly helpful (and very hard working) staff, great base for local cliff walking and exploration, good range of beers, good breakfast, parking and town centre location. Cons: Only niggles, our window catches didn't seem to work, but we should have asked staff but couldn't be bothered. Some might like an explanation on...

Nice clean and pleasant place to enjoy some good beers after a walk up from the castle or church on the cliffs. Always welcoming owner and staff with a quiet and private beer garden at the back. Good range of ales although look over the bar mans shoulder in the chiller cabinet to check on the bottles of which you...

We saw a few rooms in the area at different establishments. Despite the bedding being more suited in a dated teenage boys bedroom we were given a very spacious room (10) that could actually sleep 4 people. It had 2 single beds and 1 double, a large tv, uber clean bathroom, a full length mirror, free carpark and wifi. Just...

We stayed three nights at the end of July, during the wickedest heat wave of the summer! If ever there was a testament to global warming, these three days have to be contenders! We arrived late Friday afternoon, and I loved the look of the place immediately. There didn't seem to be a reception desk, so we wandered through a...
