We have never stayed in the hotel side of the pub but have used the bar and restaurant many times.over the years I have been visiting St maws, always find this pub/ restaurant very friendly.my dogs were also treated with a warm welcome and a boneo or 2, this is especially important to my husband and I as we walk miles...

The Victory was pretty busy on Friday night with lots of food orders being made. We had a bottle of wine along with battered fish, chips and peas. The service was efficient and the food was ok. A bit of a shame the batter was a tad soggy and the mushy peas like warm!

Loved the fish and chips here with my other half enjoying the catch of the day. Ate here three times in our week-long stay. Puddings yummy and the liqueur coffees a real treat. The prices were reasonable and this was way better than the usual pub grub on offer in most places. Highly recommended.

We recently had two evening meals in the Victory which is a traditional pub with good surroundings. The first meal was in the ground floor bar area, the second in the rather unexciting upstairs dining room. The food was average pub standard, reasonably priced for summer in a tourist resort. Service for the first meal was friendly and helpful (if...

We have just got home after having 2 weeks in Cornwall. Each Sunday we all came here for a Roast dinner. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed it, the veg, potatoes, mash, gravy... All of it super duper. We love Cornwall and our next visit down we will definitely be coming back here for our Sunday Roasts. We sat upstairs...

This place is a gem. The food is amazing, the view from the terrace stunning, and the staff incredibly helpful. Not many establishments can cater for someone who is gluten, dairy and soya intolerant, someone who is dangerously allergic to seafood, and someone on a low FODMAP prescribed diet. They not only managed it, they did it with kindness and...

We had an unplanned 2 nights in the Victory Inn when the Falmouth ferry was cancelled due to high winds. We were booked in without fuss despite being wet & muddy walkers. The room was comfortable with a bath, but was a bit tatty & in need of some TLC. We ate in the bar on both evenings & breakfasts...

The Victory Inn is just off the waterfront, just up the street from the Ship and Castle. It is an excellent place to go for a quiet pint and/or a pub meal. It is quite a small place, one end being more the bar and the other end more the restaurant. It is an old fashioned or traditional pub, and...

We booked via the Internet and we were a little nervous - but there was no need. The bedrooms were comfortable, the setting by the harbour was very attractive and parking was convenient. We enjoyed a 'good pub grub' supper , slept well and were fortified for the next day of our Cornish travels by a freshly cooked breakfast. Good...

We took the Falmouth to St Mawes ferry, which was a lovely half hour lunchtime trip, we were the only ones on the boat, aside from the crew of course. Arrived at St Mawes. We had intended to eat at the Idle Rocks, but they were surprisingly full. We stumbled upon the Victory Inn, just up a pretty side road,...

“We only visited the Victory Inn as part of a day trip. Interesting that they call themselves one of two pubs in St Mawes, but there are Tripadvisor hotel questions? I can't comment on accommodation. My service level rating relates to our lunch experience. I'd go back, and would recommend.”
