Hi Rankinfoodie here. I like pubs. The Victory is in a small lane just off the harbour. Small inside. Nice atmosphere. Restaurant downstairs and upstairs with a balcony. Good homemade food. We had mussels, cod and chips, and sole. Good beer, Doom Bar, a favorite. Good value.

We have just returned from a week at St Mawes and the Victory is a great Pub. Staff really, really friendly and most important dogs are welcomed. We ate here every day as we did on our holiday last year. Best fish and chips you can find. Fish & Chip night-Friday is great value @ 2 for £12. Thank you... More

We visited the pub for a meal, after being recommended by friends. It was nothing more than average. Nothing special and at over £4 for a bottle of water it was a little pricey for what we drank and ate. The pub was not business, the main course came swiftly but then the service went down hill, we waited too... More

Year after year, this place never fails to impress. Sunday Roasts here are to die for. We all had Roast beef which arrives with a giant Yorkshire pudding, big roast potatoes. You then receive dishes with a good variety of veg. Red cabbage, carrots, broccoli, parsnips... It was extremely toasty. I thought my own Sunday dinners were good made at... More

The Victory Inn was reccomended to us by our B&B host to eat out. This is a small pub just off the water front that has kept its identity for atmosphere, good food/drink and good service. I enjoy an traditional pub experience with no distractions apart from the happy talk of our group and other satified customers. Do not go... More

A good ploughmans and fish cakes for the Mrs. Nice atmosphere and the service was very good. Useful WiFi. Not another pub serving Doombar !! Good value specials. Several other pubs but this looked best.

Great roast pork melted in the mouth. Lovely fire in the fireplace. Good fast service. The staff were really attentive and the plates were big and full. We felt very satisfied after, good value for money.

Booked in for 3 nights for a New Year celebrations break . From the very start it was obvious this place lacks customer care when looking after their guests. On arrival we were taken to our room by a young girl who told us the wrong time for breakfast and left us with the wrong keys for the room meaning... More

Very well kept beer at a reasonable price £3.50 per pint of Doombar. I am used to paying £4 per pint in Surrey. Service was good and the pub is very homely. I regret I did not stay there, only popped in for a couple beers. Many visitors were in but very chatty and a good atmosphere.
