Fabulous dinner @ Hotel Tresanton. We were made to feel welcome and there was no rush to order our meal. On arrival we sat outside on the balcony that looks over the beautiful seaview and had a pre dinner drink. We were given nibbles and drinks and when we'd ordered dinner we were invited into a beautiful dining area. The... More

My husband & I enjoyed a delicious, leisurely lunch at Hotel Tresanton. The 3 courses set lunch menu (which included a glass of wine) was beautifully cooked & presented & extremely good value. Superb view from the terrace with our Golden Retriever!

We selected this hotel because of its recommended quality and a convenient location on the south coast of Cornwall to enable us to access most of the county conveniently. The hotel I would classify as being boutique and a good standard. Our room was over the main entrance but not too noisy. The room overlooked the sea and was large... More

We went here on recommendation, and there appear to be some very good reviews on here. It's been a while since we have been this disappointed by a restaurant. One would expect that if you notify a restaurant (particularly one that charges the amount it does) at the time of booking that you have dietary requirements, that this would be... More

We had sandwiches on the terrace, the service was outstanding. Would have got 5 stars, but £35 for sandwiches for two people and two halves of lager was a bit over the top. It was still a lovely experience, wish I could stay there! Marilyn.

Hi Rankinfoodie here. I like good hotels. The Tresanton is in a wonderful spot overlooking the sea at St Mawes. Mediterranean ambience. Casual yet elegant. We visited for dinner. Not exactly a disappointment but the food lacked imagination and excitement. The razor shells, calamari and chorizo was very good. But the John Dory and the sole could have been more... More

Having dinner here made us realize that there are an awful lot of rich old age pensioners in the UK! So many well dressed old folk here. This is a nice place; great views and a nice airy restaurant. An interesting menu with plenty of great fish as befitting a Cornish seaside venue. A bit too pricey for those not... More

Amazing food. The seafood was sensational. Top class service. Plates cleared several times to allow for visit back to the buffet. Birthday cake brought to the table. Great atmosphere Worth the trip and the expense. Great for special occasions Must book in advance though not to be disappointed

Even a cloudy day at The Tresanton cannot dim the experience of being at this refined location. For a 5 star family experience stay in Suite 22 - 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms lounge, terrace all with stunning views. Sublime tranquility

All hoteliers should be made to visit Tresanton to learn how to properly run a luxury hotel. The rooms are fantastically designed and all unique and beautiful. We stay in room 1 with our Irish Terrier and it has a little terrace overlooking the sea and a huge bathroom. The residents' only lounge is full of overstuffed sofas and a... More
