This was our first visit to St Mawes and this was very much enhanced by the comfort and style of Nearwater and the helpful local knowledge readily shared by the owners. Breakfasts were excellent. Wonderful fragrant gardens to enjoy when having some afternoon tea.

Lovely B&B, good location for St Mawes and exploring the Roseland. We only stayed one night, in the Percuil Room which was immaculate with a very comfortable bed. Clearly Amelia is passionate about the area and brimming with ideas of how to spend time. Probably a little on the expensive side, but having seen other local prices this is the... More

Judging by the deficits and style this is a lovely place. I booked in two guests as our booked holiday home nearby is full. Unfortunately I had to cancel as their plans changed but Tim was very understanding and it was not problem. I hope to be able to stay there in the future.

An upmarket B&B which is reflected in the price but is worth paying! Rooms sparkling clean, bed linen crisp white and proper feather pillows and duvets. Good power on the shower. Room small but made up for by the fully equipped guest lounge, although this might get a little crowded if more people were in it. Delicious breakfast with homemade... More

We stayed in 'Trefusis' the self catering pad in Nearwater, which was just excellent. Yes, it's compact, but plenty of room for two people and beautifully designed and fitted out. Nearwater is a great location, just a 10 minute walk along the seafront to the main village - and what a walk! Stunning at any time of the day or... More

A great place to stay. Not exactly near the water but near enough. Great rooms (ours was 'Summers'). The bathroom made us want to come home and rip out ours to replace it with one just like this. Tim and Amelia are great hosts. They run walking tours, know the area very well and give great advice. The breakfast was... More

I've just returned from a long stay at Nearwater and cannot recommend it enough. It's definitely the closest to a boutique Hotel experience that I have had in a bed and breakfast, so if you're are willing to pay a little bit more it's well worth it. To be honest, for St Mawes, it's still very good value. I felt... More

St Mawes is a beautiful relaxed town. The b&b is perfectly located just a short to the beach and harbour. Great hosts, helpful and friendly. Rooms (we had Percuil and Summers) are bright and clean with nice ensuite bathrooms. Kids were happy with the good wifi and dvd collection. Fresh breakfast! If you're a fuzzy sleeper you might want to... More

Stayed for a few days in July. Greeted with a cup of tea and beer. Very proud of their village and B&B. Kept informed if where to go and what to see. Room, bright and decor fab. Breakfast had a different special option each day. White company bedding and towels - great attention to detail. Loved the guest information book... More

Spent two nights at Nearwater Bed & Breakfast in July 2014. What a fabulous B&B, room was stylish, clean and spacious. Perfectly located, just a 5 minute stroll to the quiet fishing village of St Mawes. Amelia and Tim were very helpful with their local knowledge and breakfast is fantastic!
