The outside and inside are nice on first appearance but this pub is always packed and the service can be very shoddy. The staff look like they would rather be elsewhere and the tables don't get cleaned when busy hence mess and sticky! The food is ok but the dessert is over priced we had a lemon tart which had... I was meeting friends in the beer garden after buying some chips from a local chippy. As I walked down the public footpath to the pub I was confronted by an ignorant member of staff who stood next to me starring at my half empty portion of chips. I asked if he wanted some and he just pointed at a... More

We went in for breakfast with our 10 month old son. We wanted to sit out the front and enjoy the views of the sea and harbour. I ordered our breakfasts and AFTER I had paid, the girl behind the bar told me we were NOT allowed to sit out the front and were NOT allowed to sit inside either... More

Rooms vary so just ask. As friendly as it gets and for location, reasonable food, comfortable room and a sense of humour, just don't tell anybody! Even get a mate to help jump start the flat car battery.

Stayed here at the beginning of sept. The room we stayed in was the wheelhouse room it was nice and cosy. It's just across from the sloop inn pub and a stones throw away from the harbour and beaches. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming I will return to sloop inn for sure.

Consistently excellent food and atmosphere. Restaurant is upstairs above the Sloop Inn overlooking the harbour - probably the best kept secret in St Ives! . 2x fillet steaks AND a bottle of wine for £38! Probably the best steaks ever make this fantastic quality and value. We always plan on trying somewhere else but invariably end up back here! Thank... More

We always have a drink at the sloop when visiting St Ives, bit of a tradition now. This is a great place to sit outside and watch the world go by. Yes it does get very busy but it serves good beer and has a great view. Will be back soon for another visit as soon as possible.

Have been going here for years. It used to be great. Standards have sadly slipped. Experienced a fish pie which was mash and one prawn. Usually recommended this place but no more. Rude, child hating staff. Looks picturesque and ok for a quick pint but if you are with family, walk on by, and spend your hard earned elsewhere.
