I have been visiting the sloop for years on my trips to Cornwall and it is by far my favourite pub ever. This time I was able to stay overnight at the sloop and was not disappointed. We stayed in the lookout room which had the most stunning views from the big corner window. Sleeping with the sound of the... More

At £109 per night B&B this place is overpriced for what you get. It was impersonal and seemed to revolve around making the management happy rather than having a customer focus. Good points - room size, cleanliness, individual staff. Bad points - noise of bottles being tipped into a skip right outside our room at 10pm, 6am, breakfasts basic with... More

Called in for a quick bite and decided to sit inside. It is very dark although the drawing on the walls are good. The food came quickly and must say was very good. How ever I thought the bar man was very rude to a family that came in with a pushchair, saying there was a sign saying no pushchairs... More

This is a great pub for sitting outdoors and people watching. The seating faces the lovely harbour and looks across the bay and town. Being on the quayside, many people pass to and fro throughout the day. The beer is good and there is a large menu to tempt you to a snack or larger meal. Whilst I haven't eaten... More

Excellent pub on the harbour, dogs on leads welcome inside, menu really good, wide choice plus specials board, food was lovely, treated very well too, which is always a bonus we arrived around 12.30 by the time we had eaten the place inside and out was full, and everyone was having food, highly recommended

We called here with friends who recommended it, as it's dog-friendly. All the outside tables were full so we went inside and it was difficult to find a table where four people and a dog could sit without obstructing others. Having said that, the food and beer was good, and the service friendly and efficient.

We went to the Sloop Inn for lunch, as we knew that it was dog friendly. We went inside, and even though it was fairly busy we were easily able to get a table. We were going to share the mixed fish plate, but they were out of lobster. Three of us had crab sandwiches, which were delicious and really... More

Dark and dingy looking on the outside. We was looking for a pub to have a quiet drink in so my friend could feed her baby and we went to walk in and a grumpy old man outside said "no prams". Not a child friendly place.

Had our last meal of our holiday in the Sloop. It is an extremely busy pub which should tell you something about how good it is. The secret is to book a meal at the attached "Captains Table" area. The chef prepares special dishes on the day as well as the standard menu.I can highly recommend the mussels to start... More
