Just endured 2 nights at this establishment booked for me by a pharmacy locum agency so I could work locally at Boots the Chemists to cover for the pharmacy manager on bereavement leave. Before I even arrived, on phoning to give my deposit, serving breakfast before 8.30am(store starts trading at 8.30 am) was a problem.I offered a compromise, don't know why I... More

We paid £80 per night for an en suite room with fabulous views overlooking St Ives town and bay, to be honest the room was over-priced for facilities and décor and the views were the best redeeming feature for the price. Good parking outside which is a bonus as parking is hard to find in town but we do own... More

I have been coming to St Ives for many years and I have never stayed in a B and B with such stunning sea views and the best breakfasts ever! Room was fantastic with a little couch in a big bay window overlooking the harbour. I spent so long just watching the boats and people down in the harbour -... More

Great b&b, good price, lovely clean rooms, great breakfast and free parking. In addition down a few steps you're in the centre of the town. Sandra and Brian were very welcoming too, overall a pleasant experience and would visit again, highly recommendable

The owners were very friendly and helpful, the (free) alloctated parking place was about 20 yards from the front door, there were brilliant views of the harbour, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast choice was wide-ranging and beautifully prepared. St Margaret's is in a very convenient location.... ok, it's up a hill from the town (or steps... More

We stayed 2 nights during the August school holidays and were welcomed in with no booking after our plans changed. The view from our room and the facilities were top notch- fresh, clean room, fluffy towels, comfy bed - the lot! Brian and Sanda's breakfasts were lovely and their tips on where to go around the coast were spot on,... More

My son (8 years old) and I stayed at St Margarets for the last week in July 2011. Sandra and Brian made us feel very welcome, and looked after us enormously. After reading some of the reviews on here I'm actually begining to think that perhaps there are two abodes with the same name in St Ives, Cornwall? Anyway the... More

I stayed at this guest house this weekend with my Mum. On arrival Brian was very friendly and when I gulped at the size of the parking space Brian did park my car for me (Im not the best at reverse parking). We checked in and went to our room, a very clean and tidy room with bathroom, shower and... More

“When you book make sure you ask for a parking spot to be reserved as parking in St Ives is notoriously difficult; also ask for a room with a sea-view.... we were up a lot of stairs on the second floor, but the view was well worth it, if you don't have mobility problems.”
