We have stayed at Blue Hayes since they first opened and it continues to be a delightful experience. Malcolm and his team are always very welcoming and helpful-nothing is too much trouble for them. One of those rare places to stay at, that you never want to leave, and we cannot wait to return. A place to totally unwind and enjoy, and so nice to be able to have suppers here too. Thank you again and see you soon.
Wow I wonderful experience loved all about it Malcolm and his team are amazing Special mention for Alice Will be back next year The views from the god VV window was amazing Breakfast and supper well fantastic The walk into Saint Ives or to Carbis Bay we're perfect Parking is easy and we have no problem to recommend the blue Hayes
Our third stay at Blue Hayes over a six or seven year period and I remain amazed how Malcolm and his team manage to maintain such high standards in every little thing they do even with occasional newer staff. Endlessly helpful, friendly and professional - a real credit to Malcolm and his open ethos. Thinks is a superb place to stay and I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.
As this was my eighth visit to the hotel and my second with the same friend it's reasonable to assume that the Blue Hayes must be a favourite! The ambience is always relaxed, the environment and rooms immaculate and the staff professional and friendly. This time we ordered one of Malcolm's light suppers which was beautifully presented and delicious. We can also recommend sitting on the terrace or in the attractive garden areas; quietly private places for a pot of tea, glass of wine or just to read in the sunshine. The Bay Suite, overlooking part of St Ives and the Godrevy Lighthouse, is light, bright and spacious. It also has the advantage of being suitable for a couple or for friends needing twinned accommodation. My friend was so impressed with everything that she suggested we return next year with her mum; so it's visit number nine in 2023!…
We had another amazing stay at Blue Hayes. After a warm welcome from Malcom and the team, we enjoyed sitting on our terrace with the stunning views of St Ives. The breakfast is so indulgent that it is hard to decide what to choose. Everything is cooked with the best ingredients. The hotel is perfect if you like it a bit quieter, away from the bustle of the high street, but still in easy walking distance. We loved every minute of it and have already booked for next year! Thank you to Malcom and the team for spoiling us again.
A wonderful team helmed by the owner, Malcolm, steered our trip from booking to departing. Our room, with windows on three sides, had terrific views of the sea and the Godrevey Lighthouse—and plentiful space, including a sitting area facing the water. The grounds were beautiful, and on warm days breakfast, tea, and drinks can be had in comfort outdoors. Situated just outside town, the hotel is quiet and about a ten or fifteen minute walk to more great views and dining. Malcolm is happy to send recommendations for restaurants, guides, etc.—each one was top notch.
This year we visited Blue Hayes in late spring. In previous years we visited in the autumn and in June. It was just as wonderful as ever. The breakfasts were spectacular as usual. We found that there is no need to eat lunch as we were still full from breakfast at noon . We were in Godrevy suite this year. The room is huge and the bed was the most comfortable we had ever slept in. It has wonderful views of St. Ives bay and Godrevy lighthouse. Our thanks to Malcolm and the staff for making our holiday so special.
Fantastic location, we had a sea view in a beautifully presented, very large luxurious bedroom. The team are all friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Adequate parking which is rare in St. Ives. Only cold suppers are available which we had one evening and it was delicious. Immaculately clean with lovely crisp bedding. We have booked to go again next year.
Even the concern re R numbers and new variants did not deter us from returning to such a well sanitised and masked environment! In fact, comparing it with less cautious/concerned hospitality establishments made Blue Hayes even more special than 'normal'! Cuisine - as if the previous breakfast selection wasn't - uniquely - extensive/eclectic enough, there were some new delectations to start the day! The evening meal we so enjoyed there of the Asian chicken and the crab/salmon tian salads were simply superb and of course had to be accompanied by Malcolm's famous velvet cheesecake! Levels of service were no less than 100% - pretty good considering the staffing numbers were down 40%! No prizes for guessing whether we will return or not?!
We stayed in the Trelyon Suite this time, and enjoyed its huge sunny terrace. The room was really comfortable, spacious and impeccably presented. One amazing highlight was champagne on the garden terrace, overlooking the ocean, on the evening of arrival, which was just magical, even in October. The light supper which followed was delicious. Best of all is the level of service from Malcolm and his team, which is truly exceptional. Going to stay at Blue Hayes is a highlight for us each year and we can't wait to go back!
