The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: there are boardgames + toys; baby-changing; children's menu. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away.
What an Amazing place, great choice of food, for all tastes, and loads of drink choice at the bar- big warm welcome! Good music, had the best time at the Queens Hotel. There’s plenty of space, still with a cosy feel. We will be back! Thanks for having us!

Dogs yapping and out of control in the bar area. Dogs on seats. Dogs on tables. Dog bowls on tables. I left because I wasn't happy putting my drink on a table where dogs are freely allowed to be. Hygiene ?

Went in for a few drinks for a much needed night out. Loving the changes. Great pool table and darts. Seems to be under new management, and lots of things planned for different nights. We shared a pizza and a bottle of wine. Great food, great wine. Planning next night out. Will definitely be popping in for food and drinks again soon.

We often call in The Queens at least twice a week when in St Ives , the team are so friendly and the hotel is a great place to watch rugby ( Six Nations or the up and coming Rugby WC ) on large screens . Great selection of drinks and good atmosphere always . Highly recommended, tables always free and manager welcoming , one of best St Austell locations in my opinion for relaxing night out . Well done team !!!!

We reserved a table for 2 on Friday 24th February at 7.15 , 4 weeks ago for pizza which was confirmed by the hotel on the 21st February to say they were looking forward to seeing us on the 24th February. We arrived at 7pm after a 5 hour drive to be told by a member of staff that they weren't serving food due to no products & no chef in the kitchen. He said speak to a manager if you have an issue and 'they would be back in the morning to serve breakfast' if you want to eat here'.........I rarely comment on Tripadvisor but I'm speechless by the lack of poor service & communication by Queens Hotel.

The Queens is a nice place for me to enjoy a drink, have a game of pool, sample the local beers, pizza and speak with the staff - whilst sat at the bar (unless playing pool) and yet I found myself unsatisfied that the bar stools have been removed - and apparently destroyed!! I visit this establishment most afternoons for coffee and an evening drink with a tasty pizza. Please reintroduce the bar stools as having them creates a much more social atmosphere at the bar and encourages customers to stay, make new friends/conversation and make the queens more active which is important for its success given St Austell Brewery have now taken over the role of running The Queens.

Visited here over the weekend for drinks, whilst the manager was welcoming and attentive she clearly had her work cut out to draw in the customers. No atmosphere in the brightly lit bar, felt more like a social club than a pub. The staff all very young, looked like they didn’t want to be there, but very interested in their phones. Won’t be returning.

We had a great New Years Eve at The Queens. We were really looked after by Steven the manager. He reserved us a table for the festivities. So well organised and great for our family and friends to join us. The only thing was we couldn’t have breakfast at the pub however we were offered to have it down the road however New Year’s Day only offered it until 9.30am.

The Queens is right in the centre of town and handy for everything. Room was a little on the small size but pleasant enough. Good breakfast served promptly and with a smile. Bar ok for a drink or two!

Having eaten here, the food was fine. What rankled though was the bill where your total spend is not obvious and instead, their total with discretionary gratuity added is deliberately highlighted. Moreover, when paying the member of staff arbitrarily charged the inflated figure which just smacks of sharp practice.
