We stayed in The Gallery B&B for two nights in May, this review is long overdue, especially when looking at some of the previous comments. The purpose of the visit was a surprise 50th birthday celebration courtesy of my friends son. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner from the moment we arrived and stayed in one... More

Check in time NOT AS ADVERTISED. You are likely as not to arrive to find the place locked up. Rude abusive staff. New guests arrived during advertised check in period but owner not there so we had to get out of bed to let them in! Breakfast meagre and mostly still raw. Holiday from hell....well not quite but...at least there... More

눉The night I arrived there was a thunderstorm and at 10pm I felt water dripping on my leg. I put the bin with a glass in it underneath to catch the water. Not gushing but a couple of drops every minute or so. I went to find the owner and discovered he wasn't there. I emailed him as I had... More

we booked a short break to stay here during Sept 2016 whilst visiting the Eden Project through booking.com ( who were fantastic by the way ) on their write up it says should you have any questions please contact the Gallery who will help you. We did this only to be told in a very harsh and snappy way "... More

lets just set the record straight ... Port Isaac is not a 5# destination , it is a historic fishing village , so the accommodation is made up of old fishermans cottages , bearing in mind people also live here all year round the place has a working feel about it , plus a small friendly night life where most... If you are looking to spend some time in Port Isaac, and it's the town you came for, you won't be disappointed. If however, you are looking for that charming little B&B with all the niceties it can afford, this is not your place. The view is wonderful, the town a charm. Every shop has it's own flavour and character... More

Like others I wish we had read the reviews. It was peak time in Port Isaac and we were just happy to find beds for ourselves and adult daughter. The location is brilliant but the room dominated by an unnecessarily massive bed to the detriment of floor space. We were not told about wifi or even that breakfast arrived at... More

We recently stayed for two nights. Joanne was so helpful when my husband was taken very ill. She drove us up to see the Dr (Ironic really) then when we decided it was more urgent, she called the ambulance and stayed with me while I tried to arrange formalities with the rental car company. I cannot thank both Joanne and... More

I booked the Gallery because my usual choice in Port Isaac (Penderris) was fully booked. I was a little worried when I saw some of the reviews on here. But either something drastic has changed or I am not as fussy as others. I found the Gallery excellent. My view from room 3 was beautiful. It was clean, and unlike... More

We had a very disappointing three night stay. The views are superb over the bay, but our window rattled all night long until we plugged it with towels. The room wasn't turned down or even cleaned once during our stay, breakfast was underwhelming, not cooked, and served in bed. But the bathroom is the worst, not enough hot water to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Whilst always having the most spectacular, panoramic sea views in this beautiful historic fishing village, Port Isaac Harbour View has undergone extensive refurbishment, and has a new manager from the 14th November, who previously ran a prestigious Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast on Her Majesty the Queen's Duchy of Lancaster Estate. Port Isaac Harbour View is situated in a Prime Location overlooking the bay, internationally renowned for the television series Doc Martin. All rooms have uninterrupted, panoramic sea views. Unique to the village, our bed and breakfast offers the opportunity to relax in the tiered, traditional wild Cornish garden which again has spectacular sea views. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst listening to the haunting harmonies of the Fisherman's friends. ... more   less
