We managed to book a room when arriving - the room was adequate and clean but needs a little decorating in the bedroom, en-suite was clean and modern. The outlook on the balcony was of view of the harbour, but did need cleaning from the seagulls. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and could not do enough to help with... More

You pay for the location, not the quality of your room. We paid £150 for a seaview room with a balcony and anywhere else, this room is worth about £50 a night. Old building, tiny bedroom with sloped floor. Dirty carpet and walls/ceiling. Tiny shower/toilet and very uncomfortable bed and pillows. Location was perfect. Port Isaac is beautiful. Parking non-existant... More

Been meaning to stay here for a while and finally booked. It was everything I expected. The place is steeped in history and its not lost in this place. Great food and cosy room with great hosts we were made to feel very welcome. Can't wait to return.

We are two old friends walking the SW Coast path and this is a wonderful place to stay. Comfy warm rooms and lovely breakfast. Evening meals looked good but we were eating elsewhere. Friendly staff....will return one day. x

We wanted to stay in a historical hotel and the Slipway fit the bill. We loved it. The room was small but had all the amenities you could ask for without losing the character of an Inn from the 1500s. Our window opened to the ocean and the fresh air was refreshing all night. The bathroom was small but clean,... More

We were exploring Port Isaac, or Port Wenn for Doc Martin fans, and needed lunch. We stopped at this restaurant and had a very pleasant meal inside, as the tables outside were all occupied. We had to order our food at the bar. The choice was reasonable and we enjoyed what we had. Service was reasonable as there were lots... More

I have to say, I was warned to take Port Isaac off my ambitious itinerary and I'm glad I didn't. While out weather was English rain showers, the port was still so quaint and charming even in the cloudy skies. The Slipway is just that as well with a bit of quirkiness. Room was small and the floors uneven -... More

We are Doc Martin fans, because the show is fun and the town looks amazing! This is an old building, right in front of the water, near Miss Tishell's pharmacy, and just down the street from the Doc's house. The people are friendly, the food is good. My only complaint was the bed was a bit uncomfortable. (I am used... More

Just spent two excellent nights at The Slipway. This historic hotel's location is just superb - right on the harbour front in the centre of the village. Our room was quite small but perfectly adequate as who wants to spend time in their room when staying in Port Isaac! The restaurant is really quaint, in keeping with the hotel, and... More
