Stayed in Port Isaac, but found this very friendly pub 10 mins drive aaway. Returned 2 days later as there were items on the menu we both fancied. They have music evenings but we missed Tom Toomey on the Sat evening

We enjoyed a really nice meal at The Cornish Arms. We were welcomed and well treated by the staff. We loved our meals. Steak and lasagne. The speed of service was superb. The food was well cooked and presented. A homely atmosphere in the pub. Very quaint and typically English. Good choice of beer. Well recommended. The owner and chef... More

I was passing through and stopped off for a meal here. I was made to feel very welcome by Gavin and the meal cooked for me by Tristan was beautiful. Nothing was too much hassle for them. I would highly recommend coming here for a meal. Thank you to you all.

If you enjoy eating off a wooden chopping board, (we do,) then this is a good place to eat. The pub is not fancy, authentic rustic. The food well presented, tasty, and the chocolate torte to die for. Very obliging chef whipped up a dairy-free and gluten-free pudding too, with meringue, maraschino cherries and sorbet. I think chefs of this... More

6 of stayed at The Cornish Arms. Felicity had agreed to give us a lift to and from the path to the pub, which was really helpful. Pretty Cornish Pub with excellent food for evening meal and breakfast.

My parents had very welcoming and friendly service when they visited at the beginning of June, lovely clean rooms and amazing food! They had a great break away. Just out of the crazy hustle and bustle of the centre part of Port Isaac, close to everything and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

This evening we ventured a few minutes by car outside of Port Isaac. We fancied pub grub away from the seafood specials in the harbour. The Cornish Arms at Pendoggett does as it says on the tin, traditional home-cooked pub classics, served in a classic modern style. The 16th century coaching inn with its low ceilings and short, heavy doors... More

We visited the Cornish Arms twice this week, while on holiday nearby in Bodmin. The pub has very recently been taken over by new management, including new head chef Tristan & his partner in crime Gavin. Both are lovely guys, really friendly and down-to-earth, and nothing was too much trouble for them. On Friday we went there for the weekly... More
