We holiday once a year in Cornwall and we always try to pop to the Cornish Arms. The staff are always friendly and the service very efficient. I like that they allow dogs in as its hard to find somewhere good to eat if your on holiday with you your pets. I have dogs but don't take them away with... More

We stayed here while visiting friends in the area. Because we booked late we ended up in the family room with just the two of us so we paid top dollar, but it's North Cornwall at high season and there was nothing else available in the immediate area so it's just supply and demand. Reviews on here are a bit... More

This was the best meal we have had eating out in the area. As a traditional looking pub which was quite dark inside we expected pub grub but were very pleasantly surprised. The warm welcome was the most notable part of our visit. Our host joined us at the table, took us through the menu and nothing was too much... More

There appeared to be mixed reviews on this pub/hotel so I was a little wary when I booked. However I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were a little dated but quite sufficient and the bed was comfortable. Free WiFi was available throughout. Food was... More

We spend a lot of time in North Cornwall and have visited this pub before as friends live close by. In the past we have always found it to be quite unfriendly serving below average food but not any more! It's as though the place has had new life injected into it. The manager Gavin is super friendly and highly... More

They should not offer rooms if they are going to have extremely loud music until the early hours. Windows closed, fingers in ears, television on and still far too loud - deafening. We only got 3 hours of sleep the 1st night. 2nd night - a Sunday - the music started up at 9.30am and went on till 1.30am -... More

The hotel is old and small--seven guest rooms. We stayed in Room 7 for two nights. The room was large with a private bathroom and TV. There were traces of home done remodeling and was a hike up a flight of narrow stairs, but the room certainly was adequate. There is a bar/dining room area with the touch of an... More

To charge £120 for this pub is vastly overpriced. Around £60 would be more appropriate. It all seemed rather chaotic when we stayed this month. The lady who welcomed us seemed to be having to do everything - there was no proper restaurant so we sat in the bar with the European Cup blaring out.The back of this bar room... More

On our annual trip to north Cornwall we have had a drink here before but never tried the food - how silly! This time we did and it was so good we brought our friends the next night. It may not be a Michelin star restaurant but for better than average pub grub with good service, tasty food delivered hot... More
