This is our second visit to Seaview. Last year we rated it as excellent and this year average as the next choice was very good and we would have given it a good if we could. We stayed in the platinum bungalow, number 70 which was next door to our previous chalet. Last year I recommended that they could do with putting in a bathroom bin, some pint glasses, more coat hangers and towel hooks in the bathroom. We were disappointed that they had only added towel hooks and not taken any of the other non costly suggestions. This year we found that we had no oven dishes. Reception provided us with one bit we didn’t have a jug or other basic cooking items that we needed - including scissors, oven gloves etc. We could have asked but at the point you realise you haven’t got them is usually when you are in the middle of cooking. The staff are faultless, everyone we met friendly and helpful. Cannot fault at all from reception, maintenance, bar staff and entertainment staff. Lovely professional people. The park is tidy and well kept. Lots of the chalets need upgrading but ours was nice with amazing views. The bar/restaurant was expensive at £6+ for a glass of wine and £5+ for a pint. We didn’t eat in there but the food selection looked nice. Location perfect for Looe and Polperro. We had a lovely holiday and I think if I hadn’t seen that the same holiday at the same time next year has shot up in cost by £300, making a week in October, £670 we would have probably rated higher but you can get higher quality accommodation in Cornwall for much less than that. We can justify £370 but wouldn’t like people reading this review to think it justifies the new high price tag.

Friday to Monday visit in an 8 berth caravan, heating was brilliant, cleanliness spot on, facilities inside were plentiful clean and were in perfect working order Site was pleasantly quiet and very peaceful which is what we do like. Facilities on site were very good. Small amusements, shop, entertainment venue was lovely clean and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Menu was limited but being out of peak season was understandable. Moreover what food was available was very plentiful, generous and deliciously fresh Entertainment on evenings were very good. Bingo wasn’t linked due to the park holidays not properly taking over until next season but we won so was brilliant. Singer on friday was very talented, magic duo saturday were brilliant and the singer on the sunday night (ai think Kim), was superb and made time to speak to our party and that made us feel very welcome. We will return again in the future

Due to Covid 19 decided to stay in England, Booked superior accommodation, horrible smell of urine, filthy seating, shower dirty with soap scum, carpet filthy, didn’t complain straight away, housekeeping did a spot clean which made accommodation more comfortable. Fobed off by manager. Same lodge had same complaints made by the last two occupants so why had nothing been done. Felt very dissapointed as this accommodation was ver expensive

1st and foremost if a reply is necessary to this review please do not mention that over the winter months you are upgrading the accommodation, we have heard all this when mentioning our issues on the site and talking to employees and caravan owners. The issues raised are ongoing issues and should be addressed with action and not just words of what is happening in the future. Reception - very friendly and helpful when raising our concerns and actioning a swift response from the maintenance team relating to a water leak in our kitchen. Bar - thank you to Jamie for looking after us during our stay. Difficult with lack of supply deliveries but many thanks. Bar Food - Limited food choice due to delivery issues but what we did have was fine, no real issues and lovely hot breakfasts. Accommodation - Not fully cleaned, simple cleanliness issues needs the attention on handover cleans ( cobwebs, dusty floors, litter, dirty windows, weeds growing nicely on the patio area ) damp and mould on walls, lack of comfortable seating,1 x two seater sofa bed which would be thrown out by most charitable organisations, The caravan seating are much better than the chalets, which we thought by the “superior chalet” description when we booked we would be getting superior features and not the inferior which we got. If any guests in the future get this chalet and have small children in my opinion they would need to watch the lack of safety with the exposed cables running from the TV and electric fire and ideally should be hidden in trucking instead of how it was. Bedbase had no wooden slats but sheets of hardboard and a thin mattress which would have benefitted from a mattress topper (good job we took our own after past experiences). If going for 2 weeks be warned there is no mid change of linen or towels (we washed our own in the laundry room) We did look at booking for next year but could not book for 2 weeks with reception as we have to phone the main booking centre, although the limited choice of caravans on the website is worrying and not detailed before Park took over, no mention of balconies/patios available. It looks like we will be going elsewhere in 2022. Thank you Seaview for the past experiences, some good, some bad.

I have to say from the outset my wife and I wasn't expecting much from this cheap weekend away, but this park has to be the worst. Over the years we have been staying in numerous holiday villages in the area, passing this one by each time. We thought this time we would give it a shot. After having a phone call from the park the day before stating we should arrive for 4pm, we were greeted with a go away until 5pm, quoting we aren't ready for you. Passed the keys to the smallest caravan we've ever stayed in. Opening the door and there was a waft of something unpleasant. Did wonder why the window was open as we approached. Understand why now. Had to open all windows before closing the door. Facilities are minimal, rooms small, flies in the toilet/shower room. Bare walls, no where to hang your coat, and the smallest TV I have seen since the 90s. Bring your own everything it seems.
