Polperro‘s working harbour supports a small fishing fleet, while the sheltered waters beyond the harbour provide a temporary haven for visiting yachts. Polperro is one of the most picturesque coastal villages in Cornwall with its deep sided valleys and a myriad of colour washed cottages. The River Pol runs centrally down through the village straddled by a variety of bridges and cottages. Beautiful Polperro with its interesting shops, art gallery, pubs and restaurants is ideally situated as a starting point for exploring the whole of Cornwall. Close to home, the surrounding coastal towns of Fowey and Looe and attractions such as Eden Project, with its huge tropical ‘biome’ glass houses, or the amazing ‘Lost Gardens of Heligan’ are just waiting to be explored. There are several National Trust locations in Cornwall. Lanhydrock House and Antony House for example offer great days out. Of course, for the hikers amongst you, there are miles of stunning coastal paths to explore!

So, living in Cornwall, I thought it'd be a simple matter to jump onto a last minute overnight stay locally. Yeah right! There's no such thing as low season now, and trying to book in July saw the first availability in Polperro coming up in November. November! Natal House is a lovely guesthouse and the owners are lovely. The lady who runs this place (name escapes me now) couldn't be friendlier. She really is a genuinely lovely woman. The room I booked was nice and spacious. Clean and comfy. Warm. A comfy bed, which I rarely find the case when staying in a B&B or hotel. Breakfast was delicious. Local bacon, snaggers, and eggs. A good generous portion, with porridge, yoghurts and great coffee. And of course, Polperro is pretty much perfect as far as Cornish fishing villages go. Couldn't recommend the place higher!

Just spent 2 wonderful nights here in the white room. Warm welcome from Simon & Jackie who were lovely people. Room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast excellent and plentiful. In the beautiful village of Polperro with lots of nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Would not hesitate to go back and will recommend to others. Very reasonable price too in fact a bargain in all honesty. Thank you

My partner and travelled down for a family wedding near by and couldn't have found better accommodation. The house was warm and welcoming and the room was a great size and very clean. The hosts Simon and Jackie were so friendly and helpful with local information. The breakfast was cooked beautifully and plenty of selection. We would definitely stay again, highly recommend!!!
