We stayed for three nights prior to sailing to the Isles of Scilly. The building is beautiful and the decor exquisite. Great for parking if you have a car. Bathroom in our room needed a bit of an update. Our room had a great sea view and the binoculars added a nice touch. Breakfasts were great and made to order... More

We chose Mount Royal for its location and parking availability, but we were more than in love with the hotel in itself. The owners are very friendly people, and the rooms are beautifully decorated, charming and clean. It's worth investing in a room with a sea view as the view is truly beautiful - you can see from St Michael's... More

While my wife and I chose Mount Royal primarily for its proximity to the railway station, we were ultimately very pleased with our choice for many additional reasons. Our room was compact but with adequate storage space, the bed was comfortably firm, and both the room and en-suite bathroom were kept spic and span throughout our four-day stay. Our hosts,... More

I loved staying at the Mount Royal, from the second we arrived it just had a lovely, welcoming charm. It is within easy walking distance of town and had parking. We didn't realise that a cooked breakfast was included in the cost which was a great bonus (and it was delicious! Fresh and with exceptional service!). To our happy surprise,... More

Mount Royal is a lovely place, well maintained, comfortable and very welcoming. The breakfast really is fabulous, and served in a lovely dining room overlooking the bay, white table cloth & silver tea/coffee service etc. Hosts very well informed about the area and only too willing to offer really useful suggestions about restaurants, places to visit etc. Will definitely stay... Gina and I have just returned from a seven night stay at Mount Royal. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in Room 3 which overlooks the harbour and St Michael's Mount. The room was spotless and very comfortable with some nice additions such as a... More

After a 4 night stay at the Mount Royal Bed & Breakfast in Penzance, I feel qualified to comment. The property is perfectly situated within a 5 minute walk to Penzance town centre and is directly on the sea front. Within the wonderful part Georgian, part Victorian property with very spacious high-ceiling rooms is a business that has been grown... More

This is a model of what a fine hotel should be. Everything is done to a high degree of excellance. The room we had was large, light and nicely decorated. The chairs in the bay window offered a relaxing way to watch the activities in the bay and Mount St Michael. The breakfasts were first rate and so was the... More
