Well, thank you Queens, for a fantastic day. From the first contact about doing a surprise 16th birthday party, to the actual day, you have all been brilliant. Nothing was ever any trouble, and all the staff were very accommodating. Lauren who i liaised with from the outset regarding the day was very professional, nothing was a problem, even emailing... The Queens is a very comfortable hotel in the traditional style with friendly staff and a superb location with views from past St Michael's Mount to past Newlyn - which is a comfortable promenade walk away. It has its own car park (very useful) and free wifi. As well as being a good centre to explore West Cornwall, it is... More

The location is unbeatable, hence the score, located right on the promenade with amazing views and with friendly and helpful staff. The place itself is a little run down and needs some investment but that is not a reason to not stay here as the location more than makes up for any inadequacies and the rooms and facilities are fine.

As we arrived, the people were really unfriendly. The room was clean, but the bathroom was just a joke. 2m^2 for a bathroom was too small. There was mold all over the wall and it wasn't really nice. Between the tiles was mold too. You don't want to touch anything. For this price i would not come back again.

I arrived at Queens hotel located on the promenade at Penzance at around 9pm looking for an emergency room for me and my 3 children as I had booked up to stay but on arrival left a horrendous caravan site called SEAVIEW HOLIDAY PARK in Sennen, it was dangerous & dirty to stay in especially with my 3 children DO... This is a lovely Victorian hotel. The public spaces are large and elegant. The view, including the view from our room, looked out on the water and St. Michael's Mount. Spectacular. There was a delightful seaside promenade right outside the hotel. The room was quite small, even with only a standard double bed. The bathroom was even smaller, but both... More

First the good points. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Location good. Minus.......Access from the car park was shabby and very difficult to negotiate carrying luggage. Automatic doors would help. It would also have been a plus point if the young man at reception, who didn't appear to be doing anything, had offered to help us up with our luggage. The... More

The only saving grace of this hotel is the staff, all bar none we friendly and helpfull. The hotel is in need of a make over as it is very dated, some may say quaint, but no it's not! For what you pay per night it is expensive, which I assume is because of the view, which I must admit... More

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I booked at the last minute in August so that I could join some dear friends for a few days of their holiday in a town that I love - I therefore accepted what was undoubtedly an unreasonably high price for a rather run-down hotel (£390 for 3 nights). The hotel is very... More
