I booked this very early in advance as we were travelling from Bristol for a showing at the Minack Theatre. At £90 per night I guess I was expecting a little more than we got. The room was quirkily lopsided and quaint, which was fine, but the bed was ridiculously old and uncomfortable and held in place underneath with a... More

The rooms are on the small side, but are clean and well appointed. The small en-suite bathroom could use a little updating, but was clean and functional. I was initially concerned about noise coming up from the busy bar. However, the patrons were well behaved and the room was very quite (except for the bell ringers that were practicing at... More

We were staying in Mousehole and after looking on TA decided to have our last dinner of the week here as the reviews were very good to excellent. We booked ahead and looked forward to ending a lovely week with a hearty meal. The table was ready when we arrived and sticky, oh dear always a bad sign in my... More

The restaurant hit all of the "spots." Very good food. The Steak and Ale pie was a real hit. Staff. Friendly, helpful and responsive. Atmosphere. Made us feel at home, and comfortable. Our next table mate was a great conversationalist and gave us local history. Loaded with history. Visit the Paul Church across the street. All in all an excellent... More

We visited the Kings Arms after walking uphill for a good mile. So we were hoping for a greeting with a smile and some well earned food! We got neither. Approaching the bar we were greeted by a surly young fellow who pointed to the other room and said "children in the other bar". Entering the assigned room for families... More

Had dinner here while on holiday. Great food, good choice, huge portions, lots of home cooked meals on offer. I had fish and partner had steak pie - both excellent - definitely a cut above usual pub grub. fantastic selection of gins. Good atmosphere highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights in Room 1 and had breakfast on both mornings and dinner the first evening. The breakfasts were freshly prepared, hearty and served on hot plates. We both enjoyed the home made steak and ale pie for dinner. Our room was clean, well maintained and functional. Paul is an attractive little village and a 15... More

Having travelled from Norfolk to Cornwall for a gig that was cancelled because of the weather we were on a bit of a downer, but the King's Arms cheered us up no end. After a wet afternoon exploring this bit of Cornwall we came back to our clean and comfy room before enjoying a superb meal in the restaurant The... More
