We booked a budget twin and the room was unexpectedly pleasant and comfortable, the staff are lovely, the location is second to none (right above the beach (no good for disabled access unfortunately) and close to town without the noise). We shall return!

We spent two weeks in this hotel, it is a family run establishment and has been for many years. The location could not be better, overlooking Great Western Beach and the Ocean. Parking can be a issue , and sometimes made worse by idiots who think its fair game to take two spaces. The general atmosphere is one of calm... More

We stayed here for four days. It's a great hotel. Excellent location which is bang in the middle of Newquay. Clean and tidy. The food was amazing too. Especially the two steaks and a bottle of wine for £30. Night time entertainment was either non existent tho or very dated! The rooms are also a little old but very clean.... More

It's a nice traditional property but in need of a bit of updating and improvement. We stayed here for 3 nights. The first thing that was upsetting was a strange smell in our room which we asked to be looked into as soon as we checked in. The hotel did try to get the porters to look into it, However... More

This hotel's best asset is it's location with what must be the best sea views in Newquay. There is a very pleasant sun balcony in the hotel garden with direct private access the the nearby beach. The hotel has a large dining room with views across the bay. The hotel itself has a strong 1950's feel and is in dire... More

Stayed for 7 nights as our main summer family holiday. The hotels location is STUNNING. We booked early and stayed in room 5 which has views of the beach and sea. The room was very clean, pleasantly decorated and perfect for our family of 4 (2 children in bunk beds and our 'own room' next door). The hotel has a... More

I stayed at this wonderful "hidden gem" of a hotel with my teenage son for a week and I loved the traditional feel, the wonderful service, the beautiful views, the dedicated, attentive staff who obviously love their job. The hotel is steeped in tradition which I found fascinating. I was taken right back to the standard of service we used to get in the... More

Once again the Hotel, including owners and staff have delivered another great holiday experience for me and my family. This was even though the weather during our stay was mixed and there was a short delay in being able to go out one day due to the fire brigade dealing with a fire (not related to the hotel) along the... A traditional English seaside hotel with outstanding views. The rooms are dated but clean and functional. Bathroom had been recently modernised. We upgraded to a sea view room amazing. Rooms very hot in summer with good weather but that can't be helped. Only thing which would have been nice would be a small fridge in room to keep cool drinks... More
