We arrived at the same time as two coaches filled with guests. Reception staff dealt with us all quickly and efficiently. Our room however was not so good.An old red onion in a carrier bag was discovered in the drawer where the hair dryer lives and the shower was completely unresponsive. Won't be going back sadly.

My group spent five days at this hotel, quality of meals were excellent and plentiful and very friendly staff. Rooms and public areas were clean. Porterage poor. Entertainment was excellent on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Bar drinks were a little pricey. On the whole a good week was had by all.

We used David Urquhart from Bristol with 39 people. Our driver was very helpful to us as organisers and helped all passengers cheerfully. We had a lovely time at the hotel. The staff were all helpful. The food was excellent. Helping oneself to breakfast was very useful as one could choose to suit one's taste and diet. The waiting staff... More

Dining area is very basic looks like a canteen. Food was poor on first night but did improve. Bedroom was fine but TV was minute. No WiFi in rooms. Hallways needed vaccing. Location... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Sandy Lodge. Where do I start? Food was outstanding, lots of variety every night. Staff would accommodate if you wished a different meal. Big thank you to the young girl in the restaurant, nothing was to much and always a big smile on her! All staff were very friendly and helpful... More

Before visiting Sandy Lodge, I made contact with the hotel requesting a Vegan Menu. They were very helpful. The food I received was far better than I was expecting. Unlike some people, we were not expecting a posh hotel. Yes, there were little things that could be improved, but the excellent service we received from the staff, and the choice... More
