Stayed here 29th October 2016. Staff very friendly and warming. Nice homely feel about the place. Nice and clean. Would defiantly stay here again. Our party all said it had a homely feel about the place. It was nice that you didn't feel u had to go straight away after checking out at 11.

Firstly, great value for money, warm bed, hot showers, clean facilities. Lots of secure storage for wetsuits and boards, and good off street parking which is really handy in Newquay. The staff are hugely friendly and gave loads of great advice on surf conditions, places to go and were good enough to hold our kit after check out and allow...

You get what you pay for so don't expect room service. It's all a bit dated, but the toilets and kitchen were clean. The shower room could do with replacing. The staff were friendly, as were the residents. There's always someone hanging around the communal areas ready to chat. And they have a bar.

I stayed several times and all of them I had a good experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. The place has a cool vibe and a surfing atmosphere. The breakfast that is provided is brilliant. The bar area is the social hub and the prices on it are cheap. The hostel has a great location near the beaches, shops and...

We stayed for 3 nights in a double ensuite in June at a rate of £25pppn on the recommendation from a friend. The staff were friendly and welcoming and were available to chat about the surf etc. We were shown to our room on the top floor with an ensuite which had a great view. The smell of weed hits...

Sorry to hear you were unhappy, first things first.... Your allegation of "smell of weed" is very serious and smoking of any kind in the Lodge is a criminal offence, notices are in place and staff are trained to always alert the Police immediately. All bedrooms have highly sensitive tamper-proof smoke alarms, so we hope you were mistaken. On investigating...

I've just returned from my stag do which saw us staying here for three nights. We were a group of 12 ranging in age from 24 to 60 and every one of us loved it! The accommodation is fairly basic but clean and well kept. The bar area is the social hub and all drinks are very cheap. The main...

We stayed in an en suite seaview room which was reasonably sized with a slightly smaller bathroom but for what we paid definitely can't complain! There was a mixup on arrival about room rates - but the rates we'd been quoted over the phone were more expensive so again happy customers! The whole lodge has a friendly relaxed feel, staff...

Went to Newquay to surf and seriously thought of staying there for longer, mostly because of Matt's surf lodge. The hostel is clean and in a good position,it has a nice chill out area with pool/table tennis table and the atmosphere was incredibly homely. Staff (especially James, who put a genuine effort into relating with every guest at the hostel...
