Our family room was ok and it had everything we needed. The hotel was close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service we received when we arrived was brilliant. The staff was nice, friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Kilbirnie to attend a local family wedding. We understood the hotel was 3 star so were expecting a hotel experience which reflected this. On the whole most of the staff were friendly and helpful at the Kilbirnie. Especially the gentleman running breakfasts in the morning. Breakfast itself was just ok.... More

A really great spot with two beaches and the town within easy strolling distance.....but, our view was of the derelict pools in the soon to be demolished hotel next door. The TV and hot water didn't work, and the hotel was generally dated / under invested to match today's standards. It's 3 star rating is generous, probably rescued by the... More

I dont even know where to start! First of all the price was abit expensive for such a small room we were given. It wasnt a triple room that are in their pictures. First night we found that the cups in the bathroom were dirty, looked like they had been there for weeks!! Then i found a dirty rolled up... More

Disgusted The Spirit of Fawlty lives on.... My wife and I, having decided to look for an autumn break with our two children, found this charming little hotel via Booking.com. We were looking for a hotel that accommodated dogs, reasonably close to Newquay seafront from which to enjoy a few days looking around Cornwall. The price for 3 nights seemed... More

Hotel was dated, smells of old people homes... You can hear people conversation in the next room as the walls are wafer thin... But fab location close to the centre and good location, but the food was not up to standard but your choices to medium to top end hotels are extremely limited here.

Really lovely break. Perfect venue for seeing everything and getting about and just far away enough from the madness of the town. Lovely room (tip - ask for sea view - it's worth it!), very friendly and helpful staff, good food - special thanks to Chris in restaurant and very friendly chap on bar (and everywhere else!) from Venezuela -... Stayed for 4 nights with family. The hotel itself was okay, bit outdated but most are in Newquay. Our room was fine. The swimming pools looked pretty dirty so we didn't use them. The fully equipped gym is not fully equipped. The man who does breakfast in the restaurant (think he's the Manager, older guy) was extremely rude, absolutely no... More

We stayed here for a stag weekend as a mature group and found it to be okay. It was clean, the staff okay and the views were good. Breakfast could have been better and the service needs a little work. The wood chip decor needs some updating and we could see the bathrooms had been worked on. The disabled ramp... More

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. Hotel, staff, rooms & food all excellent. A very comfortable hotel to stay in just across the road is a large grassed area \7 beyond that is the sea. Beautiful for a morning/evening stroll. We would highly recommend this hotel for couples/families/travellers/\\Company Reps. Breakfast & Evening meals excellent in preparation, cooking & presentation... More
