All the staff were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Very comfortable, clean room with sea view and tv etc. En suite with plenty of hot water for baths/showers. Tasty cooked food, especially the fish, was always hot and served on hot plates. Choice of meals to suit all tastes. We hope to return as this type of hotel suits our requirements.

We booked for one night, arrived late evening, receptionist fab.. Room looked basic, bed horrendous , squeaky, mattress awful, bathroom a disgrace, chipped tiles, toilet wonky, bath looked grim, carpets ripped in hallways.. Hairdryer was filthy, complimentary tray dusty!! Downstairs looked great until you actually looked properly, big cables running various electrics. The staff are the best thing about this... More

The room was small but well kept, modern and well equipped, the tea and coffee making facilities were poor though, we stayed 5 nights and it was comfortable enough in the room for a base BUT the hotel itself is very outdated, some of it had been updated but some of it was like stepping into the 60's, it could... I arrived at the hotel and learned breakfast was served 7:30 until 9:30, I explained to the concierge on reception I would need to leave before 7:30 AM and asked if it would be possible to arrange anything for breakfast. He refused. No offer of a solution. Just no. I should have read the website and it was my own... More

I have just stayed at the Kilbirnie Hotel for three nights and the room I had overlooked the green and the sea I was lucky enough to have fabulous weather although I thought it would have been a great room had there been a storm to watch. I was on a dinner bed and breakfast deal and found the food... More

The room was huge Room 102 with a huge double bed and bunk beds too and the bathroom was lovely and clean - the tiles were clean and it had a bath with shower and screen panel over the bath. The temperature of the water was just right and I also had a bath because we recently removed our bath... More

The hotel is in a lovely little location, the beach is litterly on the doorstep and there is a town with loads of shops within a 5 minute walk. We were greeted by a friendly Spanish women, the first impression of the hotel is very clean and tidy. Our room was simple but clean and had everything we needed, we... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment, i do remember this incident. On hearing that you felt a member of my team was rude to you i went straight into the restaurant to speak to the team and the member of staff involved. Unfortunately you went straight up to your room before he was able to come and apologise to... More
