The hotel is situated on the cliff top road heading out of Porth overlooking the wide expanse of Newquay harbour and the sea. There is a full English breakfast to start the day and a bar and separate TV lounge to relax in the evening. My room was quite spacious bearing in mind that it was a single and the... More

Visited in April but didn't 't review at the time, but feel compelled to set the record straight having read a damning review. Firstly, Jim and Yvonne were wonderful hosts and I think that is why most reviews are 5 star. All areas were clean and the breakfast was well-cooked, some fruit would have been appreciated, nice coffee in a... More

Thank you for responding to that damning review. We did feel it was unfair. Just to let you know the mould is now gone and there is a new glass on order, but unfortunately you do have to wait for them to be made. Its not until the sun comes out that you realise they have blown. Sorry to hear... More

Very enjoyable stay - the hotel is beautifully located (I recommend the sea view rooms!). The owners are lovely and they know pretty much everything about Cornwall so no matter what you want/like they will be able to give you some helpful advice. The hotel is a bit dated but very clean and comfy non the less. We stayed for... More

Couldn't wait to leave very old and tired. Room too small bathroom horrible mould on blinds, toilet so old it didn't look clean. All needs total refurbishment. Wood chip everywhere. And I think the plastic table cloths at breakfast say it all. Made the mistake of taking notice of the good reviews. These people must have very low standards and... More

Totally unfair. There is no wood chip anywhere,so lets get it right. If you wanted a Hotel then you should not book a guest house. As for the mould on the blinds, its been quite a damp summer and if the window does not get opened whilst people are using the shower then you may get this problem, but it is... More

We have just returned from staying at Porth Cove for 4 nights and what a beautiful stay it was. It is located opposite Porth Beach on the hill with stunning views over the bay to Newquay and Watergate Bay. Jim and Yvonne who own the property were so friendly and the hospitality was first class. It is in a perfect... More

My room was a single en-suite. The room was a small single but contained everything I needed and the wifi was good. The owner very kindly sorted my breakfast half an hour early as I was working in the area. The breakfast was lovely and will stay again.
