Smartie is a great host! She welcomed us with banana cake and a cold beer :) the room was nice, clean and we've had our own bathroom! She had great tips for us on where to go and how! Would definitely stay here again :)

My friends and I travelled through Cornwall and stopped in Newquay for 2 nights, at Smarties Surf Lodge. Upon our arrival we were provided with banana bread that was still warm and a nice cool beer. The room was clean and the owner was lovely and helpful (and her dogs were adorable). I'd totally recommend staying there!

After being relocated to Smarties after an unfortunate mishap at another local surf lodge I was apprehensive; however Smarties provided an amazing place to stay. The room was clean, warm and welcoming. The location was in walking distance of the main town and beaches for surfing. The owner was very pleasant, with complimentary cake and beer on arrival and happy... More

Smarties proved an ideal base to enjoy everything Newquay has to offer by day (sea based activities) and night (pubs, clubs and restaurants). The room was comfortable (6 of us stayed in the room with 3 bunk beds), clean and well equipped with towels, TV and a well stocked tea tray. The breakfast (for an additional £5) was very good... Central Newquay with everything practically on the doorstep. Surf being the main reason for coming down. Clean, quiet and great breakfasts. The perfect place to relax. Thank you Jackie. Definitely be back.

Second time staying here with friends and weekend away surfing. Great location and facilities and with the best host you could ever wish to meet. Jax couldn't be more helpful and gave the best tips of where to surf and then drink and eat after Top trip wouldn't stop anywhere else in Newquay

Stayed here for two nights, there were 4 of us, Jackie the host was amazing and did us a deal to squeeze us in on a busy weekend. The place is clean, plenty of hot water and beds were comfy, we only needed somewhere to rest our heads after a long day and night. Breakfast was just what we needed... More

We actually booked a different accommodation in the first place which apparently is close by but since they made a double booking they organised for us to stay with Jacky which was the best that could have happened to us. The second night we even had our own bathroom, everything was really clean, absolutely comfortable and Jacky so friendly and... More

Jackie has a lovely little surf lodge, booking was very easy and she made us feel welcome right from the start. It is a great location near to fistral beach and town, we walk every where night and day. I would recommend this lodge for anyone staying in Newquay and the other 8 people I went with would agree. It... More
