We have visited the Pentire Hotel on several occasions, but always in the spring. Our Christmas last year (for various reasons) was miserable, so we decided, along with my widowed sister, to go away, and as we knew this hotel and enjoyed it, took the plunge, and opted to go for the full Christmas break, from 23rd December until 2nd...

Stayed for a wedding and it was OK. Decor is a bit old and our mattress was old but overall OK. The staff were really good and helpful. Beer was a bit pricey but overall not bad and would stay again. The breakfast was good and served with lashings of coffee or tea.

I took my time thinking about leaving a review for this one but in the end I decided that it may be helpful to share some general thoughts. This hotel appears to cater to the mature visitors traveling in tour bus groups. I was the the youngest guest during my 3 night stay and at 45 years of age that's...

We appreciate and value all feedback; however with respect in our reply, a few of your points are ageist and simply not factual. To add some balance, our hotel caters for a wide variety of guests of all ages from families, groups, couples, to surfers, those looking to explore the coast and some coach party groups too. It all depends...

main points: 1) table top sales in the foyer blocking the main entrance is not only a health and safety but a poor impression. I was told by one seller I couldnt walk in/out the main door and had to use the fire exits 2) ive stayed in hundreds of hotels and this place desperately needs up dating 3) the...

We have just returned from spending five days at the Pentire Hotel. We had a most enjoyable stay with lovely food and very good and spotlessly clean accommodation. The staff were fantastic, always so pleasant and always there to meet your needs. The entertainment was also really good. We will most certainly be returning.

We drove out from our hotel in search of somewhere nearby to have a quick drink and came across this hotel, which appeared to be a coaching holiday hotel, as there were many coaches in the car park outside. We had a drink in the bar and sat in the lobby watching the passing residents of the hotel and overhead...
