We called in for a drink and really liked the pub so went back for dinner. The waiting staff were very pleasant and the starters were lovely. We order catch of the day, cod, one battered one grilled. The grilled fish was ok but the battered fish smelled really awful, of ammonia. Asked for a different fish and this was... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as we were wanting to walk the coastal path. We had booked a double room with a sea view and recently updated. It was lovely - at the top of the adjoining annexe, (the stairs and corridors had not been updated but those you just pass through!) The room was spacious with a large bed... More

Booked in for 1 night last week on our way back from the Scilly Isles. On arrival were made to feel very welcome by the staff and although near the end of service they were very accommodating in finding us a table in the restaurant. Food was excellent as was the breakfast the following morning. There was also a good... More

I stayed here with my daughter for a week holiday. The pub was lovely and sits on the harbour front the rooms were perfect and had such a little Cornish cottage feel to them. The area is breath taking. Will definitely be returning. I must include how amazing the breakfast was :)

A tired but nice room (albeit small and expensive) with a fantastic view and good bed. However, if you are vegetarian then don’t eat at the pub as clearly the chef does not understand the word: vegetarian option was ‘sea food platter’!

Stayed here last week for one night. We were traveling around Cornwall hadn't made reservations to stay any where in particular so it was getting late in the day and luckily we happened on the ship inn, lucky because they had only one room left to stay in . The staff were all very nice and accommodating. The room was... More

Staff really friendly and helpful. Food was good. We had fish sandwich, chunky fries, glass wine and a beer for about 17 pounds. Ambience is good. Low-ceilngs, exposed beams, bare wood floors; feels authentically old, right on the waterfront. What we did not like at all were the three drunk patrons at the bar continuously swearing, quite loudly in their conversation... More

We called off here whilst walking a section of the South West coastal path. Had a lovely lunch and a couple of well-kept pints. The staff were friendly. I had a particularly nice crab sandwich. We got talking to a fellow northerner - although from the wrong side of the Pennines (Lancashire) - and he raved about the fish pie.... More

The Ship is a authentic old pub, lovely thick walls. The rooms we stayed in are next door to the pub. They are small, and clean so no complaints there. My complaint is about the staff and their lackadaisical attitude . When we arrived at the pub a young man asked if we would like to book for dinner we... More
