We read good reviews about this place in the guests' comments book at the cottage we were staying at so went for dinner one evening. The pub is a little dark and could perhaps do with a bit of updating, but I understand it's only recently been taken over and, hey, it's all part of its old charm. We got... More

I ate here a few years back and found the food reasonable, however on my return this year I don't have a good word about the food I'm afraid. The calamari as a starter was rubbery and obviously not fresh. The fish pie as a main had been reheated in a microwave and then put in an oven to melt... More

After traveling around looking for a place to eat for 3 kids and 4 adults we were about to give up, but we parked up on the harbour wall and walked round to the ship inn. Although it was busy we managed to find a spot for us all to fit and had a wonderful meal. The service was prompt... More

The building looks very grubby from the outside and an really do with tidying up. The walk from the pub through to the dining area is fairly unpleasant and was smelly. The actual dining area however is acceptable, although service was slow.

We stayed in Mousehole for a week and decided on dinner at The Ship. Overlooking the Harbour, it is the postcard Cornwall Pub. Inside it was full with tourists and locals and we managed to get a table in the bar ( our dog was with us ) and again the interior was a Cornish time capsule in a nice... More

My hubby and I chose to go Mousehole for our anniversary lunch. The Ship Inn is a lovely pub with a nice view. However it did concern me that they do not know the concept of "Vegetarian" and "Vegan",and nor did they care. On the menu a starter of "Seafood Pate" was marked with a "v". When I questioned this... Spent 3 nights at the Ship Inn. Great little spot and perfect location. Wanted the fishing village experience and we got that. Room had a great view over the harbour. Room was nice and tidy and the bathroom clean. Staff were great to deal with and very friendly and helpful on local attractions. Expect to walk with suitcases from local... More

We went to a local festival late in the day and although there were a lot of drinkers there we managed to get seats. The staff were helpful. We had the local ale but no food but it was a great little place and not to be missed when visiting Mousehole.

We stayed here from 21 - 23 July, in room 2 which has a fantastic view of the harbour. Overall, our stay was very good - the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The location, too, was excellent - right on the harbour front and therefore within walking distance of everything in the picturesque village. The breakfast that... More

Called in for lunchtime drinks on our visit to quaint Mousehole. Very pretty village but not a lot there - except The Ship! Good ales and really nice interior. Don't go to Mousehole without calling in here.
