Louise and Simon took on Commonwood Manor which stands high on the hill overlooking the east Looe River in 2015 and have completely refurbished it. Choose from smart, contemporary rooms all of which are en-suite. Set in 3 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland with spectacular views, there are great places to sit and relax - especially by our heated outdoor pool. Award winning superb Cornish Breakfasts - we have it all.

We had an excellent 2 night stay during a whistle stop tour of the west country and only wish we could have stayed longer! Simon, Louise and the team made us so welcome. The views are amazing, room very spacious and comfortable. A unique cinema room with a vast array of film titles and books to read added to a most enjoyable stay. Simon also does a mean breakfast! Thank you both for your excellent, kind hospitality.

Simon and Louise were very welcoming hosts and provided all the comforts needed for a short stay in a hotel. The room was lovely with an outstanding view and the bed very comfortable. A great addition was the little fridge for keeping a few things cold for picnics the next day. Breakfasts were very tasty and well cooked, with a good selection of cold things available. Nothing seemed too much trouble, I would definitely stay here again.

It was very clean family run hotel with some lovely little touches, But some things need updating such as dressing gowns in the room - which were a little old. We had a twin room which was very basic and appeared to have been furnished to a low budget. We only used the hotel as a base, but there was a really lovely sitting room / bar which was available to use and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a very good array of food options and you could have what you fancied.

We stayed for 2 nights and wished we had booked for a longer stay. A lovely family run establishment, where nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The room we occupied overlooked the estuary and offered a splendid view. The breakfasts were cooked to order and there was a generous buffet available. Its a fifteen minute walk into Looe, a little longer to stagger back after a good night out in the towns restaurants probably best to book a Taxi! I look forward to retuning, and I would recommend this Hotel to anybody.

The best B&B experience we’ve ever had. As Americans who now live in London, we were blown away by the hospitality and charm of this place, not to mention the cleanliness and the best English breakfast we’ve had. If you want a place that feels like you have family that live in Cornwall at a beautiful manor and you get to visit them, this is the place for you. Not to mention we brought our 6 month old and they went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed!

We only stayed for one night and were unfortunately unable to make best use of all the facilities. We were met by Louise who couldn't have been more helpful. The building is characterful and rooms nicely presented. We had a lovely view from our bedroom. The breakfast menu was extensive with a well cooked 'full cornish'. Definitely worth a stay but longer than one night!

Had a very pleasant stay in this lovely hotel that was built as a Victorian Manor House originally. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Our room was comfortable and the breakfasts are very good. The views from the hotel over the Looe valley are stunning. The hotel is full of character. We looked at a number of potential hotels in Looe before choosing Commonwood Manor. We definitely feel we made the right choice and hope to visit again in the future. Thank you Louise and Simon for making our stay so enjoyable
