Cherrywood Lodge is a refurbished B & B property situated just a 5 minute walk from the town harbour in Looe, Cornwall. Annie the hostess provides a warm welcome to all visiting guests in a friendly Cornish environment.
We had a fabulous stay here at the beginning of September, scrupulously clean, comfy beds, breakfast was all homemade and delicious. What more could we ask for! Perfect hosts. The town was a short walk away, and Looe itself was so lovely and picturesque.

We instantly felt welcome and at home on arrival by our 2 excellent hosts Ralph and Annie. The rooms were very clean, Breakfast superb, manners and attention to each guest, outstanding. We felt extremely happy during our stay and would recommend this gem to our friends. There was no sign of rudeness or short temper from either host. They Catered to all guests needs during our stay. We loved the chilled vibe of the place and the 5 * breakfast, facilities, beds, pillows and duvets. Absolutely all needs or scenarios have been thought of in these rooms with even ear plugs for your wife if you're a snorer or needle and thread if you need to repair a button on your shirt. I have stayed in the Marriott, Hilton and other private hotels/B&Bs in the UK and around the world. This place outshines those in many ways, especially Ralph's amazing breakfasts and specials menu. All of the food is locally sourced from Cornish farms and family run shops. The Bacon and sausages in the full English are perfect. The homemade bread is lush and goes a treat with their homemade jams selections. The work Annie & Ralph put into this place speaks volumes for itself. The rooms have a good size fridge and beverage making facilities to make you feel even more at ease if traveling a distance with food for your trip. To top all of this off, the Hotel is secure and safe with large iron gates to keep you and your loved one/s safe. You can really tell that this place is kept in tip top shape with fresh paint, no stains, clean sheets, clean floors, polished everything and not a spec of dirt in sight. This place has what lots of mainstream places lack, human touch and love in every corner. I would recommend this place all day and look forward to coming back to Looe. Incredibly comfortable bed, slept like a dream! Great sized bedroom with good facilities and lovely, super clean en-suite. The hosts were fantastic, going above and beyond to give us local tips, recommendations and going the extra mile to provide breakfast to difficult dietary requirements! The location is perfect, walking distance to everywhere you would want to visit, and close enough to bus/train to get elsewhere. Went for walks, runs, spontaneous pub crawls and sea shanty evenings all directly from the front door. Delightful!

I just had to review our recent stay here, as it was really amazing. The people running it were helpful and accommodating, and every morning helped us work out what we would do for the day, with suggestions of how to see the local area. We even spent the day taking the train to St Ives, which was beautiful...something we would never have done ourselves. We left the car at the B&B, and for a few days explored on bus and by foot. There were frequent buses and the train station was a 15 minute walk away, so we had plenty of choice - even when the weather wasn't so summery! The rooms were comfortable and we both slept well - something I don't always do when away from home - and the facilities were more than enough for us both. My husband even enjoyed talking to Alexa...until I found the plug! Breakfasts were amazing - if you give a day's notice you can have even more choice. It was all we could ask for in a holiday home - we will certainly be coming back. Parking at roof level was tricky for someone like me who doesn't have a head for heights, but the on-site parking at the back (which you walk down from to the house) was very useful. I just didn't move the car until it was time to go! Totally recommended by a pair of fussy travellers - the couple running it are complete gems...…
