We took our little dog who was made very welcome. Our room had a lovely 4 poster bed, really good size bathroom with both bath and shower. Hairdryer, tea coffee... More

I have just returned from a weekend stay, the hotel is just lovely, clean, stylish with an old world charm. We had a room with a sea view and would highly recommend this. Everything is of a very high standard with lots of attention to detail. The breakfasts are excellent, with lots to choose from.

A really excellent bnb. Malcolm is a kind and obliging host. The property is spectacular with beautiful gardens and tremendous sea views from some of the front rooms. Great location less than 10 mins walk from the maritime museum end of town and close to the beach

When down last year met a lovely couple who recommended this hotel to us. They understated how good it was, everything was of a high standard with focus on quality from bathroom robes and soaps to home made bread at breakfast. One of the best hotel customer services experience and will be back!

I have stayed here a few times and the very high standard doesn't vary. The hotel is slightly querky which gives it a certain charm. The rooms are very comfortable with lots of little extras - even a half bottle of wine in the fridge! Some rooms have lovely views over the bay. It is close enough to the town... More

The Poltair is a very well maintained B and B in a quiet location but only a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. The staff are very efficient and friendly, and the cleanliness of the rooms second to none. The breakfast menu is extensive and very good.

A great guest house, comfortable and quiet with fabulous views. Just right for our visit to glorious Falmouth for our niece's wedding. Breakfast was magnificent. Staff were great and very flexible. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit to the poltair. Our room was comfortable and was kept spotlessly clean and well stocked. Malcolm gave us a friendly welcome andnothing was too much trouble for him. Choice at breakfast was excellent and the food was always well cooked. We especially liked the choice of freshly made yoghurts.

Would we have gone back for a second time, never mind a sixth? Good on you Malcolm and staff (plus Oscar the cat) for such an outstanding performance. Poltair - unbeatable! Holidaymakers, give the rest a miss, and treat yourself to a stay at Poltair. Beachcomber is the pick of the rooms.

The Poltair is owner operated with a small friendly staff. I stayed in the Puffin room, it is a cosy single with refrigerator, a shower and sink in the room, and a bathroom just outside. The view of the sea is via the half-glass door leading onto a small shared balcony. When I was there the two rooms on either... More
