5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Recently stayed at Mitchell's Guest House. Had a wonderful one night stay. There is so much attention to detail and little touches that made the stay even more special. It was so homely and Colin and Helen made us very welcome. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the en suite bathroom and shower was really nice. Breakfast was delicious... More

We loved Mitchell's. We stayed in the Laurel room for two nights and I wish it could have been longer. We slept so well in the large Super kingsize bed. Colin and Helen were on hand for anything did we have questions. And they were fabulously attentive at breakfast especially towards my partner who had a great thirst for their... More

From the very start, with home-made cake & a cup of tea, we were made so welcome. An elegant home with beautiful furnishings, excellent service and a fantastic breakfast, this was our favourite stay in all the places we were travelling over a two-week period. A short walk to the city centre; this is a place we will be coming... More

You are very welcome. The tea and biscuits are an ideal way of unwinding after your journey, and gives us an opportunity to introduce you to Chester - where to go and where to eat. More

Colin and Helen have done a splendid job in restoring the house to the condition and style of its early life. The house is conveniently located in the quiet area of Curzon Park about 20 mins. walk from the city centre - there is also a bus past the door. A warm welcome awaits guests - tea and biscuits in... Warm welcome on a late night arrival for our Valentine's break. The owners were very nice, the room was excellent, bathroom very clean, the decoration of the drawing rooms was lovely, the location was ideal (not in the city, but in a quite neighbourhood in walking distance of the city itself). The breakfast was of superb quality. Definitely recommended, and... More

Thank you for that. We do find it very useful when Guests can give us an approximate arrival time. We're quite flexible, and it saves us having to wait in all day. More

We stayed at Mitchells of Chester for two nights. We had the Azure room which was bright and comfortable and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful soft bed linen and I had the best two nights sleep I have had for a while. The en-suite bathroom was spotless with a lovely walk in shower and nice towels... More

We could only stay one night which was a real shame. Felt welcome from the moment we walked in, beautiful room , highest standards of cleanliness and wonderful hosts. Jimmy parrot adds that bit of character too :-) breakfast was top quality and couldn't be faulted, we would definitely recommend.

Thank you for your comments. Chester doesn't do cold weather racing. The first flat season racing is in May, when all the new leaves are bursting on the trees. Magic. More
