We stayed one night, tea and cake on arrival which was great as we had walked from the station and got a bit damp. Nice clean room with a large shower and comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Great location if going to the races.Very friendly.

My husband and I,had the pleasure of staying here last weekend. This B&B is beautiful, with everything decorated to a high standed.Spotlessly clean.and our bed was really really comfortable. The hosts(Colin and Helen made you feel really welcome ) There is plenty of car parking on their drive,so we never used it at all while we stayed with them,as it was only... We can only reflect all the fantastic comments already made by previous reviewers. A two day break in Chester with friends to see the Christmas lights etc., was enhanced by this wonderful place. To call it a B&B does it an injustice as it goes far above what you would expect. Excellent facilities, excellent breakfast and wonderfully friendly and informative... More

This B&B is perfectly placed on the outskirts of Chester allowing a short stroll to the centre of Chester I'm a very nice residential area. The owners Helen and Colin are very accommodating . We slept in The Rosa room which was at the front of the property . A king sized bed with good quality bedding. Plenty of storage... More

Warm welcome, generous, varied and delicious breakfasts and spotlessly clean accommodation. Colin and Helen take pride in their delightfully presented home. We stayed in the Laurel Room which overlooks the garden and is spacious and boasts a modern and well appointed bath/shower ensuite. The walk into the heart of Chester took us no more than 15-20 minutes which made it... More

Everyone likes the pleasant semi-green walk into Chester; but we're also on a bus route that takes you through the old fishing village of Handbridge and over the medieval river bridge into the city. A pleasant introduction in itself. More

Just needed a quiet few days to get away from it all. We got exactly what we wanted. We stayed in the Laurel room. It was just so lovely. It was elegant and clean. The bed was comfortable and roomy. Showers are usually a problem in b and bs but not here. Breakfast was served at a realistic time and... More

I was in Chester for a 3 day re-enactment event and from the moment I arrived at the B&B to be greeted at the door by Helen, nothing was too much trouble. My room was Room 5 on the 2nd floor and yes, some people might consider the staircase leading up to it a little narrow but let's face it,... More

We remember that you were in the battle that weekend. The Royalist Cavaliers faced up to the Parliamentarian Roundheads in the re-enactment of the Civil War siege of Chester. The Roundheads won again. What a fabulous weekend. More

Stayed here with my partner this weekend. Owners were lovely and greeted us in the lounge with tea and biscuits along with a full introduction to Chester. The room was very large and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and modern with a large bath and large shower also. Within walking distance from Chester centre and only about 5pound in... Visiting Chester for a family party we just needed somewhere to stay for one night. We received a very warm welcome and were impressed by the very high standard of the accommodation. The Mitchell ' s pay attention to detail and lots of little things were included that even 5* hotels don't think of. I would definitely recommend staying here... More
