First class B&B situated in a quiet farming area only a few miles from Chester. City easily accessible by car or park and ride. Beautiful old home tastefully decorated with every facility a discerning traveller would require. Rooms and en-suites are spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. A breakfast you could not fault. The gardens surrounding the home are impeccably maintained... More

We stayed here overnight en route to Scotland and also to take a trip down memory lane, as we lived near here over 30 years ago. From the original e-mail contact to the moment we left on the morning after our stay, everything was just perfect and extremely well organised. The welcome on our arrival, the accommodation, the breakfast and... More

We had a lovely stay here! It is so beautiful and peaceful, and we so loved the swallows flying in and out of their nests on the barn opposite the farm house. Our double room was delightful, and Clare had thought of everything. My husband's cooked breakfast was delicious, and Clare had been very mindful of my allergies, about which... More

We stayed in the garden room which is one of Cotton Farm's double rooms. It was an absolutely massive room and the views of the countryside were fantastic. The B&B was spottlessly clean and provided us with all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom with a full bath with overhead shower. It was... More

Thank you for taking time to write a review and for your kind comments. I am "on the case" for installing a power shower but there are just a few obstacles to overcome first. Hopefully it will be installed soon. Best wishes, Clare More

Our daughter treated us to a stay in the garden room, which surpassed all expectations. It was very spacious, lovely big en-suite. Very friendly, helpful hosts, fab breakfast and thoughtful extras in the rooms. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I had a mid-week break here, and loved our stay. Claire is very knowledgeable, and does a lovely breakfast using locally sourced foods. We even visited her supplier for supplies of our own!! The Garden Room was very spacious, homely, and has a lovely view of the countryside. We'll be definitely visiting again!!

Another fantastic stay at the lovely Cotton Farm. This time we stayed in the Blue room. Just like the Garden room it is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated and has a large bathroom. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast. As with our first visit we appreciated the little extras such as the sherry, bottled water and dressing gowns. Cotton Farm is... More

This is an excellent B&B in quiet countryside on a small farm which has no mess and tarmacced roads all the way to it. We stayed two nights in a spacious bedroom with a large bathroom. Cleanliness was faultless and the little touches much appreciated including sherry, bottled water, bathroom consumables, flannels, dressing gowns. The breakfast was extensive and beautifully... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cotton Farm is a wonderful farmhouse bed and breakfast close to Chester, with gorgeous large rooms, set in peaceful countryside down a quiet lane. We have a 4-star grading from Enjoy England. Cotton Farm is just 4 miles from Chester, and easily reached by car or taxi.Cotton Farm is something of a hideaway bed and breakfast - we are one of Alistair Sawday's special places to stay. We have three spacious bedrooms, all stylishly decorated and comfortably furnished. The gardens are in the classic English style, with resident hens and greater spotted woodpecker. The Guest Bedrooms are in the original part of the farmhouse, which is at one end of the building - making them very quiet and rather self-contained.The fields around the farm are full of wildlife, and there are riverside walks through wildflower meadows over ancient packhorse bridges. ... more   less
