What a lovely hotel, we stayed here for three nights at the end of August and had a great time, some of the other reviews mentioned it being a bit tired and maybe needing updating and i suppose it is a bit but for us it added to the hotels charm, if you want modern and bland then theres always... This is a lovely hotel, within a ten minute walk of the town centre - a helpful map is available at reception giving directions. The rooms are fine - very clean, with tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast is great. All the staff were friendly and efficient. There's also a nice little bar. I would stay here again.

This small hotel offers good value for money. Possibly not for people expecting luxury. The public rooms though a little dated are very nice. The food was very good.I went with 4 friends and ate in the 1st night and the evening menu was good. There was an excellent choice for the breakfasts we had there... And plenty of it.... More

My husband and I found this little gem of a hotel online and booked for two nights. We were greeted warmly at reception by a lovely young lady named Molly. The room was so lovely and very well decorated, I would say lush is a good word to describe it. Breakfast was pleasant and I liked the fact that the... More

My wife and I had a double room, which was fine, but our friend's single, number 18, was too small and depressing. Fortunately he was able to move to a double for another £30. Very nice cooked breakfast, staff helpful, but I'll probably try somewhere else next time I stay in Chester.
