Such a lovely peaceful B&B with the sweetest patrons. Location is very close to the Dee River footbridge into the historic zone. Wonderful breakfast served to order adjacent the solarium. The staff were very helpful and we pleasant to chat with. And, oh yes, the rooms were comfortable and spacious.

A most excellent B&B. Chris was the perfect host, rooms were spacious and beds most comfortable, breakfast delish. Chester is a truly delightful town to explore - gorgeous architecture, plenty of good food and a lovely river for walking along. The location was excellent - a short stroll into town and off-street parking - always a bonus for us rent-a-car... More

Have just returned from a three night stay at Sycamore House, and we couldn't have stayed at a better place. Chris is a brilliant host, very friendly and very helpful, and his breakfasts are amazing! We stayed in room 1, a very good sized double room, very bright and airy overlooking the front garden. With a sofa for seating, plenty... More

Lovely place to stay, warm welcome, comfy room and amazing breakfasts - even for vegetarians! It is very central, a short walk to city centre over river but also very quiet, couldn't have bettered it. Will definitely stay here again if in area. Thank you Chris.

Thanks to Chris for a very warm welcome to his lovely home. The room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was yummy- mushroom and tofu scramble was really scrummy. So great to be catered for so well (as a vegan). Chris was really helpful too and gave me good ideas about what to see locally. I'd definitely stay... More

What a great find, the room we stayed in was great and full size bathroom. All clean and tidy with teas, coffee, biscuits etc. toiletries also. Breakfast was out of this world and left us needing little during the days walking, exploring historic chester, roman fortress walls, gates, amphitheatre, river dee Victorian promenades, cathedrals. Those who need retail therapy are... More

Stayed one nite. Great room clean nice bathroom, very fresh, redone very nice. Chris the owner is great, fantastic brekky, neat dining room off a Sun room. Parking is tight but doable. Walking distance to downtown Chester which is a must see. So much history in the buildings and a Roman fort quite amazing. Stay here it's worth it.
