Stayed overnight and the hotel is very comfortable, extremely clean and lots of little extras in room that were very welcome after a long drive. Proprietor is personable and clearly well experienced at his job as nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast service was second to none. My only slight issue wasn't the road noise as we were...

Ideal location with parking which is a bonus in itself. Used 2 rooms during stay and couldn't fault either of them. Plenty of information available, presentation and cleanliness of rooms and the little extras including snacks and drink making facilities all make this guest house one of the best. The breakfast - made to order with more choice than anyone...

We'll definitely go back their when we go...

Only a short walk from the city centre we walked back and forth all day. The owner Ray is very accommodating, was extremely informative, friendly, polite and courteous. We visited Chester for an anniversary and we had a...

We all enjoyed our visit and the little extras that have made our stay. Firstly the rooms. They were very clean and nicely decorated, with plenty of storage space for our 3 night stay. The fridge in the room came in handy to keep the bottles of water that were supplied fresh every day. There was a variety of tea...

This reviewing lark is a bit subjective isn't it? Different people find fault with different things or are happy with aspects that others would be unhappy with. We are a mid fifty's couple who have stayed in lots of hotels and B & B's over the years, usually for one night or a weekend, and Chester House would be difficult...
