Spent a great afternoon catching with our large family the day was made even more enjoyable by the delicious freshly prepared food and the delightful land lady Emily and her hardworking staff. A hidden gem in the lovely Cambridgshire country side.

This pub is in a lovely location with tables overlooking the river. An ideal spot on a sunny day. The service was excellent in so far as it was informal, friendly and attentative. The sandwich and salad were tasty and well presented. The ham and eggs was good with nicely cooked hot chips. All up a nice experience.

This delightful 'riverside' pub is not easy to find. You have to drive through the small Cambridgeshire village of Mepal and drive up a road with a Dead End sign. Just before the bridge, after which the road really does end, on your left is The Three Pickerels. For lovers of interesting facts, a pickerel is a baby pike. The... More

Lovely location right next to the river. Room was lovely and had everything I required. Tea and coffee making gear all provided along with toiletries. Hairdryer provided. Small ensuite with good shower. Very friendly host, Emily who cooked a lovely breakfast. I just opted for sausage and bacon sandwich, but the full English looked excellent. Handy for Ely (10-15 minute... More

Emily was very attentive and informative. Would recommend this hotel to anyone that wanted to visit Ely.

We had room 2 which was amazing with double aspect windows. Very clean and you felt like you were in a 5* hotel room with views to match. Staff really friendly, Emily was a very accommodating host and Tommy behind the bar made us very welcome. We ate the first night off the Greek style menu which we loved. We... More

Food was a little slow in coming despite the pub not being very busy, it was however worth the wait and very tasty. Staff were very apologetic for our wait and gave us a round of drinks on the house. I'd happily visit again if in the area.

Went again last week. Same young couple still running it and the girl is a food powerhouse. Not sure if it's her or she has a chef but she drives the vision & menu. last time we went was Xmas eve and it was Iberian ,this time, it is Greek theme? Delicious, hot, quick. I had the salmon but the... More

A small menu, certainly giving the impression of being freshly home cooked. Quite plain, but very flavoursome and ample portions. Good value at a smidge over £30:00 per head including a few drinks. Very friendly service from Sam.
