A wonderful old house full of character. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had supper in the dining room and this was well prepared and delicious. The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Ely, within walking distance of the cathedral.

The driveway is lovely and the outside of the building nice to look at but very tired close up. Walked in to reception and was instantly hit by the smell of stale smoke. We were checked in by the cleaner who wasn’t expecting us and didn’t know what time breakfast was served. We were shown to our room (number 4)...

It's cheap but read the reviews before you book. and don't forget to pack a tent just in case. Most positive reviews are of the location and not the hotel. Talks of Faulty Towers are humorous, unless you happen to be staying here. There are so many other places to stay ~ "you have been warned" is stated on other...

Husband and I spent two nights here. We were in room 6. This was a spacious room. The bathroom was clean and again a good size. On the downside the bedroom decor was outdated and the beds were a tad uncomfortable. The shower temperature was a little hard to regulate too. Breakfast was generous and pleasant. The waitress was polite...

We stayed here for a couple of nights with some friends. The locations is good, a short walk to Ely center and the property itself was lovely with so much character. The owner, Robert, met us on arrival, was more than helpful and showed us to our rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean with great views looking out onto...

We shared Room 1, which we believe is by the far the biggest and most comfortable. Our room overlooked the gardens of the hotel and was lovely waking up to great views, we stayed for two nights. Location is great, a short walk to Ely village and the local shops, pubs and cathedral. We had breakfast laid on each morning,...

Stayed here for one night recently.. The room was depressing and smelt very damp. Could do with a makeover. We were cold and wanted to ask someone to turn on some heating. When we went to the reception desk, there was nobody there, but a phone on the desk with a note to say that if anything was needed, to...

Some previous reviews have likened to Faulty Towers, unfortunately I have to agree!! The room was dated, smelt very damp with an uncomfortable bed, woke this morning with sciatica - actually saying I woke with sciatica is wrong not entirely sure I slept. The over bath shower was dreadful took 15 minutes to eventually run hot. The toilet had obviously...

Conveniently located, off the main road a short walk to town and cathedral. Arrived well before booking-in time but allowed us to park our car on the premises whilst we walked into town. Bedroom and bathroom clean with everything catered for. No evening meal the night we stayed as restaurant closed: had emailed to book dinner but this was not answered...

Me and other workmates have stayed here nearly every week for the past 2 months as we are working in the area. I have stayed in nearly every room in this guest house and can point out the good and the bad points everywhere. Currently in room 3 and the double plug socket is loose in the corner and only...
