Re the review of Christine C I am the person who occupied the room in question i.e. No 7 recently when a group of us stayed in this Guest House. My friend has stated the situation accurately and I would only add that I found the plug situation dangerous and totally cannot accept it was passed by "experts" as the... More

I stayed recently at The Nyton along with some friends. It was booked by a friend who trawled the internet for good accommodation in Ely with a 4 Star rating. The garden is beautiful and most rooms of reasonable standard. Breakfast which is included, was very good. On arrival we were met by the Manager who presented us with our... More

My sister and I stayed at The Nyton while in the Ely area on a 'genealogy' trip. We were met at reception by Lulu, who was very friendly and helpful and served us tea and coffee whilst our room was being prepared. (we were a tad early) Our first impressions were extremely favourable. The charming, old fashioned decor exuded comfort... More

My sister and I stayed here for two nights while in Cambridgeshire researching our family tree. We had a twin room with ensuite shower and bath. The room was clean with fantastically comfy beds and a beautiful view overlooking the lovely gardens. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room AND bottles of water. an ironing board, iron... More

This small 'old house' style hotel is set within a 10 minute walk to the centre of Ely and the cathedral. The hotel is set in some lovely gardens, from which you can get a great view of the cathedral. There is plentiful parking and a total of 8 guest bedrooms. Breakfast was freshly cooked with additional options other than... More

Mum & I stayed 2 nights. My sister & her husband joined us for dinner on the first night & my brother, his wife & 3 young sons stayed over on the second night. The single rooms were compact but comfy enough. The family room had a 4-poster & 2 singles. As this had originally been a family home, ensuites... More

We stayed here for one night and were met by a very pleasant receptionist. However, when we said we would have to leave at 6am the next morning, and asked if there would be any breakfast or coffee it was stated that there would be nothing available whatsover at that time. There was no substitute or part refund offered. The... More

Arrived about 11.30...only staying one night. Got in to the reception area and found the keys to rooms on the counter top with a note saying to take yours. Went up to the room which hadn't been made up but we had been told that if we turned up early that might be the case. Ely cathedral is 10 mins... More
