Very clean and comfortable. Great location for walking into the City along the river. Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the owner always went the extra mile. It was more like staying with a friend. Very comfortable bed and strong powerful shower. We will definitely return!

Highly recommended. The hosts are wonderful, able to provide excellent recommendations for local places of interest, restaurants and pubs. Ours was a large room with excellent facilities. The breakfasts were divine. A short 20 minute walk to Cambridge city centre which provided excellent exercise and we found it nice to be just that little bit away from the more crowded parts of Cambridge.

A lovely house in a quiet back lane. Ideal if you are visiting Cambridge as only a short walk along the river into town or can catch the bus round the corner. Also easy to park your car outside the house. Comfortable & very clean bedrooms & bathrooms. Delicious breakfasts with local produce served by our very friendly & helpful host. Highly recommended as a base if you are exploring Cambridge.

A warm welcome, an excellent breakfast, a building with a lot of character. Rooms are quite compact but no problem, with a bit of planning. It is not quite in the city centre but walking to it - along the river, through parks - is a very pleasant part of the experience.

We loved our little romantic hideaway. Short walk to nearest pub, breakfast venue, or a longer stroll along the Cam into the picturesque Cambridge. The proprietor Christine was warm and welcoming. Happy to advise: we had excellent comms before arrival. The bedroom is small as expected with en-suite bathroom. It was cosy and classic and comfortable. We managed to park outside the house and didn’t need the car for the weekend. Perfect! 10/10

Great location - a short and pleasant walk into Cambridge. We were so grateful to have safe, in road parking at 5 Chapel Street. Our room had a very comfortable bed. Christine’s breakfasts very super - lovely fresh homemade fare. Rooms and bathrooms all super clean and well equipped. Thank you.

We stayed in room 2 and it was spotlessly clean and we were welcomed with homemade cookies. The facilities are good and there was adequate room to walk around the bed and good wardrobe and dressing table. Plenty big enough for two long as you don't mind sitting on the bed The shower is great and has good power and pressure and plenty of room in the shower room We started the day with a high quality breakfast with good portions and you could just taste the quality. The homemade bread was gorgeous. Christine is a fantastic hostess and nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to make sure our stay was excellent. If visiting Cambridge we would highly recommend 5 Chapel Street

I stayed 10 days in May and could not have asked for a more pleasant accommodation. My room was comfortable, quiet, regularly cleaned, with a view of a tranquil garden, and had all the amenities I needed, including a great shower. (The in-room coffee was very important!) The location is approximately a 30 minute walk to the town center along the lovely River Cam. I quickly learned that Christine, in addition to being a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful hostess, was an excellent cook, as I had anticipated after reading all the positive reviews. I opted for the vegetarian full English breakfast which was consistently delicious and kept me fueled for a full day of walking and sightseeing. I unreservedly recommend 5 Chapel Street.

Stayed 2 nights in a very comfortable room with King size bed, great bathroom, all beautifully decorated. Christine is a very friendly, helpful host who made me feel very welcome. The B&B is near local shops including some good cafes and bakeries. The bus stop for a short journey into the centre of town is 1 minute walk away - very convenient to avoid driving around central Cambridge. A lovely place to stay.

5 Chapel Street was recommended to us by a friend who had good memories of a stay there a while back, and we will absolutely recommend it to anyone heading to Cambridge too. Christine is the perfect host - her communication in advance of our stay was excellent and she puts a lot of care in to ensuring her guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We are grateful that Christine's husband could be on hand so we could check in early, which meant we were able to visit Kettle's Yard on the day we arrived (recommended!) All the lovely touches from homemade biscuits, fresh milk and a selection of books in the room, to a choice of delicious breakfasts showed that care for their guests. The shower was excellent and everything was clean and cosy. We enjoyed the walks in to town and over to Mill Road. Highly recommended - we'd love to return!
