This is a traditional bed and breakfast, will feel like you are staying at your grandad's house. Floral and dated decor throughout. Its a reasonable price for what you get, but dont expect much. You'll get a comfy bed and a hot shower and a bit of toast for breakfast. No frills attached. Main issue is the whole house needs...

booked last minute as needed somewhere to stay close to Addenbrooks. Stayed in twin room as single guest. Décor, bedding and facilities very dated. cobwebs in shared bathroom. notice on the back of the bathroom door highlighting water usage of power shower. breakfast strictly between 8 and 9am. having gone downstairs just before 8 I was reminded of breakfast times....

Great location to the town centre but that's probably the only advantage. Breakfast is some cereal and toast, end of. Limit on shower usage and communal bathroom only. Good effort but definitely not good enough.

I started staying at b&bs in the Eighties. Apart from Wi Fi, seems to go back in time. Staying in a b&b then meant to be accommodated in a inhabited house and to adapt to the habits of your host. Tony, the owner, welcomes you warmly but advises the morning that breakfast should be made by 9 am. Clean and...

I stayed here when I was working at Addenbrooks (which is a brisk 7 minute walk). There are plenty of buses which can get you here from the train station, get off at Glebe Rd £2.50 each way, opposite the school. The house is modern and set down a private drive. Tony is a very nice, if not slightly rigid...

I had to do a last minute booking for a work trip and found this place. I arrived late at night and everything was prepared for me: keys, towels, bed, wifi password. The place is cozy and you have the feeling to be at home. The owner is supernice. I would have loved to stay longer! Highly recommended!

Stayed one night in double ensuit, wanted nearest to Addenbrookes and this was very close. Tony the owner is very nice, but obviously has no help with cleaning. Our room was very dusty and had tea stains on the units, and the glass on the tea table had dried milk stains . The towels were appling, they were dirty and...

We stayed one night at short notice in February and found the Acer House to be excellent value with a friendly owner. Its a little out of the centre of Cambridge but there are plenty of buses which going from a nearby bus stop - you could walk it if you wanted to. Being on a private road means it...

This cosy little place is in a very quiet residential area. It is just just off the main road where you can walk straight down to the centre of Cambridge. The owner Tony is nice and a true English gentleman. Rooms are a good size and for breakfast you can expect cereal and toast along with tea or coffee. Take...

I've been there 3 days, even though I had booked 5. On arrival the owner was not home and it left me a note and the keys under the mat. well, I thought, he's a friendly and homely person. I prepared myself a cup of tea in the kitchen and, on its arrival, in a very abrupt and unexpected, rudely...
