In the past I have been very tolerant of the shortcomings of Lovell Lodge: its location, near the Science Park, is ideal for me. However this time there were serious problems with my room which mean that I will not be staying at Lovell Lodge again (after about 15 years of regular stays). The faults were serious and should have... More

I stayed one night in this hotel. It's a bit far from the city centre, in a quiet residential area next to a pub with pool tables and darts. Breakfast is OK. My room, which was on the ground floor, was very nice and cozy. The bed was one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in! Service is helpful... More

We stayed in the annex over the road from the main hotel, whcih was tatty, underprovisioned and not very clean. Basics like enough plates, glasses and functioning bed-side lights were beyond the staff to provide. On the other hand the beds were comfortable.

I was staying in that hotel for more than a month when visiting customer in September-October 2015. It is located close to Cambridge Business Park, so it was ideal for my needs. It is a good family style hotel with comfy atmosphere and friendly personnel. You would also like their nice Full English breakfasts. It is not expensive and close... More

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. Doors do not lock (or are certainly not secure), staff are appalling, the bathrooms stank, the dirt incredible - but most of all the uneasiness of being a single female in this hotel was overwhelming. Totally stunned about the disrespect that was portrayed by the receptionist and a another member of staff. Certainly cannot... More

The hotel is very shabby and needs a full makeover and good clean. We found the staff to be very surly and unhelpful apart from the girls at breakfast.. £98 per night is very over priced £30 would be nearer the mark.

Stayed here for two nights for business recently. Arrived about 3pm to be greated by a 'receptionist' who CBA... Shown to the room to be told that the electricians still hadn't finished working it. So... what she really meant was.... the room is NOT ready, despite a 2pm check-in time. The whole decor of this place is 'dour'. A complete... More

It's never nice to feel you're inconveniencing the staff by staying in their hotel. On arrival we were welcomed in the same way someone might welcome a bailiff with a repossession order. Thereafter the reception desk was either empty or attended by someone in a bad mood. The hotel itself is substandard, poorly decorated, and unappealing. The waiting staff at... More

Terrible customer service, the apartment we stayed in was dirty and had nothing you'd expect (no visitor's book with any kind of instruction or information on how to, for example, call the main hotel, use the TV, where shops/takeaways were, etc), we couldn't even get basic provision such as flippin light at night as lightbulbs had stopped working and had...
