Short walk from the centre, great staff. You have to pay extra for a room with your bathroom, but not much. Room was small, but to be expected from a B&B. It was clean, breakfast was nice and with parking. If you are staying for a weekend, this is perfect.

My husband and I have just returned home having spent one night at the Hamilton Hotel, Cambridge. The room was extremely small, and the bed was barely a double. We were situated delightfully right next to the communal showers and toilet. This meant that we were woken up by people seemingly showering in our room in the morning! We were...

If you're going to spend a few days in the wonderful Cambridge and you are looking for a cheap, unpretentious, typical accommodation, a place like the Hamilton Hotel is the perfect solution. The Hotel is located in a nice house in one of the main roads of the town, where there are local supermarkets open till 10pm when you need...

Good place to stay in Cambridge, which is such a tourist rip-off. It was reasonably priced, clean, and served very good breakfasts. We were very happy with our stay there.

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May. It is quite old fashioned more like your TRADITIONAL B&B rather than a hotel. My room (twin) was fine and clean bathroom/shower decent and breakfast was very good. However the room has probably not been re-done since about the 70's woodchip walls flowery bedspreads, carpets etc. Same with many of...

I've recently got back from spending one night here over the weekend and can only imagine that its undergone a referb since some of the previous reviews were written! The room (3) wasn't that large but managed to squeeze in a four poster (all be it of the ikea variety). and the bathroom was spotless with a huge shower. Breakfast...

Not too great. We were put up a number of flights of stairs at the top of the house. There were two flights of stairs and a couple of doors between us and the toilet/shower facilities. The room was not entirely clean. The bedside lamp did not work. The window blinds were broken. This is a big place, and the...

I stayed here for 2 nights recently. The good point is that it is cheap for Cambridge - I paid £45 per night on laterooms. The downside is that it is not that great - the room was quite small and smelt of stale cigarette smoke. It was not very soundpoof. The hotel as a whole looks a bit run...

I recently stayed at this hotel and having read previous reviews was a little concerned. The hotel is old fashioned and areas need redecorated, but it is clean and if you are just using it for somewhere to sleep it is fine. Our room was clean, but poorly decorated, it had tea/coffee facilites/hairdryerTV etc, but bathroom could have done with...

Bad points -- seemed more like a hostel for the homeless by the state of some of the clients. Room, mattress uncomfortable and stunk of smoke, so bad I could not sleep on my front or side. Carpets dirty. Wardrobe to small to even hang a mans shirt. Loo down hallway through firedoor had very dodgy flush, so sometimes people...
