Title: worst B&B ever The B&B is located in a secondary street, almost 4 km far away from the center, so it takes 40 minutes by walk. The price is too high, compared with the service and the location. He asked me 360 euro (280 pounds) for 4 nights. The owner will ask you to pay immediately, instead of a... More

Booked this B&B. They took my money. On day of travel said they were fully booked. Could cancel, but guess what, the online form wouldn't give that option, so could still get charged as they have a policy of no show charging (and they could classify me as a no show since I haven't cancelled). I am deaf, can't use... More

Booked here for a three night stay whilst working close to this guest house through a well known booking website. On my arrival I was advised that I would have to pay cash so I ran out to a cash point and settled up the bill prior to being shown to my room. I was shown to a small group... More

Ok let me start this lengthy review by saying I do not write bad reviews, I was bought up with the beliefs if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Unfortunately I feel it is my duty to break my rule on this occasion as this poor excuse of a b&b is undoubtably the... More

After receiving a phone call whilst in France myself and a colleague had to be in Cambridge by the next morning. We searched the Internet and happened upon "aylesbray lodge" as all other hotels seemed to be booked up (apparently it's a a lot to do with tourism from Japanese and Chinese tourists) Anyway so after a long 8hour drive... Couldn't get any other accommodation while visiting Cambridge. Says it is four star, but would rate it one. Bathroom wasn't clean, but the beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast was an extra £10, so didn't have it. The room for what it was, was expensive enough. Would I stay again. No!!!

My work were holding a conference and needed many rooms to accommodate our professional colleagues, I firstly emailed them on the 10th July to ask how much they would quote for all their rooms they had available on the dates needed. I had to chase the lodge twice as they did not email me back, eventually got a response on... More

I stayed at Aylesbray Lodge for business at the beginning of June. There was a boat race the following day so hotel rooms in Cambridge were scarce and this was the first place I called with any availabiliy. The website said that the guest house wouldn't normally provide breakfast, but when my colleague called he was informed they would do... More

Booked by my company, shared bathroom, paper thin walls, and ceiling, not enough tea making stuff in the room, lumpy bed, all the worst aspects of British bed and breakfast hotels. Thanks goodness it was just one night.
