Only spent one night here, but enjoyed it immensely. Stella, the owner, is quick to greet you and can answer any question you may have about Cambridge. The room was not large, but was adequate for our needs. It was extremely clean and comfortable as well. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Cambridge or you can take... More

Recently stayed here as it was close to the railway station and seemed to have reasonable reviews. Unfortunately it did not meet expectations. Car parking is not that straight forward especially if you arrive at night and raining. There is a small car park for about 4 cars at the front and there is a small sign saying there's additional... Staff was friendly and accommodating. If you may arrive late (after 10 pm.) you need to email them about this possibility, I did and had no issues checking in. Room was nice and as described. Breakfast was good. For European hotel the room was a good size. Bus stop is close by. About 15 minute walk to the train station,... More

We had a problem with our online booking, which was resolved within an hour after booking. When we turned up the staff had a go at us on check in and again on check out and made us feel like criminals. Overpriced and horrid with rude staff.

This represented good value (GBP 98 including breakfast) for an overnight stay for a family of four. The guy on reception was very welcoming and helpful. The reception area looks clean and tidy shame that all of the stairwell areas have seen better days and look rather shabby and in need of a good refurb. Our family room which was... More

Stayed for a night on a business trip. Hotel was very nice. Room was a good size, nice and clean, with the usual facilities - flat screen TV, tea/coffee etc. Staff friendly too. Breakfast the usual help yourself buffet, but very nice, but no evening dinner. Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the station so convenient if travelling by... More

I only stayed for one night in the middle of a two-day meeting. Reception staff were friendly and efficient and made me welcome on arrival. The room was spacious and clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Everything in the room was great and shower worked well. Breakfast was very good and checkout was easy. A good walk into the City... The place was clean, staff were polite, and breakfast was OK - buffet cooked breakfast, fruit & cereal. Our room was pretty big, and comfortable. There was a fan, which was important in the heat!! The shower was OK, takes a while to get the right temperature. The rooms seem to vary hugely in size, based on the fire plan.... More

This is an overpriced two star hotel. Some of the rating on Tripadvisor are overblown. Location isn't bad, you can walk to all the sites. But the rooms are small and in need of upgrading. Bathroom the same small and... Safe doesn't work. A musty smell on entering the room. No - just not good enough.

A comfortable hotel, very near to where I wanted to be and a reasonable walk from the City Centre. Nice room with an excellent shower. Good quality breakfast. The only drawback was that the main lights in my room (and, I understand, other rooms) had failed when I returned around 11.30pm. This did not matter much since the bed lights... More
