Small B&B we had an upstairs bedroom that overlooked the garden area which was quite nice, it was extremely hot trying to sleep, but their was a small fan provided, which helped a little. The next morning we had breakfast in their dining room which was really lovely, the young staff that were in the kitchen were very accomodating, overall a...

This was a one night say; I had not stayed here previously. Check in was smooth but I was not given any information about the hotel, simply asked whether I wanted to pay. The room was small, clean and tidy. The décor was bright and the compact bathroom was modern but too small for any shelves to place personal items....

It seems all the world is visiting Oxford these days, thanks the Inspector Morse, but Cambridge is well worth a look-in as well. Our itinerary did not allow us much time, but aside from the college themselves, there are galleries and museums worth your time. The Helen Hotel (it is really a great B&B) is well situated for such a...

We booked into Helen Hotel at very short notice having refused to stay in the totally unsatisfactory place we had previously booked! Our welcome was friendly, professional and informative; the reception area was bright and smart. Our room wasn't huge but had everything we needed for one night's stay and was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. The location...

Our room was clean tidy and well appointed. Friendly staff and good car parking and location. The breakfast is a hot and cold buffet style. The cold food was not inspiring - the yoghurts some cheap non branded items and the fruit a choice of past it's best bananas and oranges, or canned peaches. The 'hot' offering was barely tepid...

This is a nice, clean, and quiet hotel. It is on one of the main roads into town, which makes it convenient to get to. It is a bit of a trek to the city centre. Very convenient walk to the Botanic gardens. Breakfast is included, buffet-style standard full English breakfast.

We only spent one night here, but the owner was very friendly and helpful. We looked for a place close to the Botanical Gardens, which we could walk to, and which we enjoyed. Excellent breakfast at the hotel. Comfortable rooms.

We were looking for a hotel within walking distance of Cambridge Folk Festival and found the Helen Hotel about 1 mike ish from Cherry Hinton Hall. So far so good. It's a shame but you often have to be careful of small, privately owned hotels. Established chains are bull but generally reliable, and so it turned out to be. As...

Only spent one night here, but enjoyed it immensely. Stella, the owner, is quick to greet you and can answer any question you may have about Cambridge. The room was not large, but was adequate for our needs. It was extremely clean and comfortable as well. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Cambridge or you can take...

Recently stayed here as it was close to the railway station and seemed to have reasonable reviews. Unfortunately it did not meet expectations. Car parking is not that straight forward especially if you arrive at night and raining. There is a small car park for about 4 cars at the front and there is a small sign saying there's additional...
