Booked the hotel for a New Years Eve Party and overnight stay. The hotel was in a great location, being approx 5 minutes walk from the centre of Cambridge. Hotel had lots of character and lovely staff who were all very helpful, our room was very spacious and very clean. The New Years Eve party was a great success and...

Stayed here for one night. Old style hotel with sash windows, dark wood doors and furniture, unusual carpets, very different from a chain hotel but I quite liked it. Room was a reasonable size, bathroom a good size as well. Heating wasn't great in the room and none in the bathroom but shower was hot and bed was comfy. Breakfast...

Everything was pretty average. Room in need of a refurb and our bathroom ceiling decided to leak one morning and heard no feedback as to why or apologies. Nothing was overly wrong with the place, except Margaret. She was utterly miserable our whole stay, lacked manners and had to be asked to do basic tasks such as bus plates. Fortunately,...

I have stayed at the Royal Cambridge Hotel a part of a group of 20 students traveling from the US for almost 3 months. I have never met a hotel staff as involved and invested in the lives of their guests. I was greeted by very cheerful smiles in the morning for a wonderful breakfast, frequently asked about how my...

An excellent location for exploring Cambridge and beyond. On entering you sense the tranquility of an Agether Christie film. The environment feels like stepping back in time with peaceful surroundings and very helpfull staff always on hand. And awaiting you in your room is an eccellent Menu and Wine list, to get your evening off to a flying start.

We did not stay at the hotel - just visited for Sunday lunch. We thought the set menu was very good value for two or three courses. Certainly the roast beef (which was £3supplement but well worth it) was the best tender and tasty sirloin we have had in ages. One of us had the roast pork which was also...

Whenever I am visiting Cambridge I always stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, very close to the city centre yet still easily accessible by car, and with its own car park at the back. It is a traditional hotel with character, and I feel more relaxed there than in the big modern chains. The staff are helpful, friendly...

Our arival was pleasant enough once the receptionist had returned his attention to us having been distracter by another registering customer. A gloomy airless coridor led to our room which was dark with stains on the walls, furniture and fittings from the 70s or 80s in bad ned of replacement, with reduntant hooks on a reduntant curtain rail and hooks...

Dear Peter B I received your in house comment card and it is disappointing that you have not given any time for me to respond to you but choose instead to dive onto the keyboard. Apologies that the receptionist acknowledged another guest checking in at the same time as you but I would suggest if the roles were reversed you...

Fabulous stay on Saturday at this lovely Hotel with the added luxury of on site parking which is great for a Hotel in the City. Staff were very attentive on check-in, both the Bar and Restaurant Staff were very pleasant and Dinner in the Restaurant was excellent. Our room was very clean with a comfy bed and great facilities. Thanks...

A very nice hotel with a lovely atmosphere but in desperate need of a make over. The staff were friendly helpful and without fault. Breakfast is extensive and we had no complaints but like a lot of hotel buffets it is worth getting in early! The rooms were fine but like the rest of the hotel it is very dated...
